October 8th,1923.
The City. Comimission met in regular session, Mayor Rovig and Commissioners Fraser and Marble
voting afire on roll call.
Moved by Rovig, seconded by Marble, that the minutes of the - regular meeting of Monday,
October lst,1923, be approved as read; carried, Rovig,Fraser and Marble voting aye on roll
call.
Moved by Fraser, seconded by Marble, that claims on the Current Expense, Park, Cemetery and
Local Improvement District Revolving; Funds be allowed and the City.Clerk authorized. to issue
warrants therefor; carried, Rovig,Fraser and Marble voting aye on.roll call..
Loved by Rovig, seconded by Fraser, that bids be asked on a chemical fire apparatus to
carry 2 -80 and 1- 40.gallon-chemical.tank, also that a site be secured for a fire station
somewhere west of 20th Avenue between South road and Orchard Avenue for which bonds are to
be issued; bids to be opened October-2.2nd,1923, at 9. °:o'clock A -VI. carried, Rovig,Fraser
and Marble voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Rovig, seconded by Marble, that.bids be called to cover- cost of garbage collection
in territory newly annexed,until January lst,1924; .Also, call. for bids f -or .collection of
garbage and ashes from the entire residence section of the City for the year 1924; bids
to be in.October 22nd,1923, at 9 o'clock A.M. carried, Rovig,Fraser and Marble voting aye on
roll call..
ORDINANCE NO-.A-8l5-,--entitled-:"An Ordinance- .providing for the construction and installation
of a curb lighting system upon certain streets.,in.the City of Yakima, establishing a local
improvement district, providing the method of payment thereof, and creating a special fund.", -
was introduced by Marble,-and read by the City Clerk.
Moved by Rovig, seconded by Marble, that Ordinance No.A -815 be to-its second reading
and read by title only; carried, Rovig,Fra-ser and Marble voting aye. on roll call.
Moved by Rovig, seconded by Marble, that Ordinance No.A -815 be passed to its third reading
and read-in-full; carried; Rovig,.Fras-er; and Marble voting: aye on roll ° --c -all.

paving cettain streets in the City of Yakima, establishing a Local Improvement District,
providing the method of payment ther-efdr and creating a special fund ", was introduced by
Marble, and read by the. City - Cle-rk

and read by title only; carried, Rovig,F�.r_a.ser and. Marble voting aye on roll-call.

Moved by Marble, seconded by Fraser, that the City Clerk is hereby authorized to give
notice to contractors for the construction of a pavement on Belmont Avenue,et al, in Local
Improvement District No. 381, said bids to be received Monday, October 22nd,at 10 o'clock
A.M. carried, Rovig,Fraser. and Marble 'voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE, NO-A-817., entitled:" Ari_ Ordinance fixing... the amount of the tax. levies necessary
torriraise the amount- of � the estimated expenditures of'.,t.he City of Yakima .for the ensuing -
year, to.._ be levied upon the real and persQnal property in said City, was introduced by
Fraser, and read by the -City Clerk.
