September 4th,1923 .
The City Commission -met in regular session, h1ayor Rovig and Commissioners Fraser and Marble
voting alre on roll call.
Moved by Rovig, seconded by Fraser, that the minutes.of the regular meeting of Monday,
August 27th,1923, and adjourned meeting thereof be approved as read; .carried, Rovig,Fraser
and Iuarble voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Fraser, seconded by Rovig, that the payrolls for the following departments be
allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants therefor: Various,Depts., w)2056-.63;
rolice Dept., $2321.66; Fire Dept., X3319.33; Engineering De t., ti "1545.96; Health Dept.,
�8 "10.20; Ideat Insp. Dept., !y3B6.66 and Miscellaneous Dept., •- 1181.1.0 be allowed and the
City Clerk authorized to issue warrants therefor; carried, Rovig,Fraser and Marble voting
aye on roll call.
Moved by Marble, seconded by Fraser, that the- payrolls for the Street, Cemetery and Park
Departments from August 20th to September lst,1923,.be allowed and the City Clerk authorize
to issue warrants therefor; carried, Rovig,Fraser and Marble voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Fraser, seconded-by Rovig, that claims on the Current Expense, Cemetery, &'ark
Departments be allowed and the City. Clerk authorized to issue warrants therefor; 'carried,
Rovig,Fra,ser. and Marble voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Marble, seconded by Fraser, that the bids on the electric steel cable received
August 30th,1923, opened-and read and disposition of.same postponed to. today, be again
postponed to I'�Tonday, September 10th,1923, at 9 o'clock A.M. carried, Rovig,Fraser and
Marble voting aye on roll call.
RE01,0LUTION NO.B- 840,�VT EREAS, there has been submitted to the City Commission of the City
,of Yakima, a budget.cover.ing,the detailed estimates of all expenditures proposed to be
made by the City of Yakima for the ensuing fiscal year and a statement of the probable
revenue from sources other than taxation_ for the ensuing fiscal year, in the manner and
form prescribed by law; and
;IHERE,AS, the same has been considered by the City Commission in detail and such
revisions and additions made as has been deemed. advisable.
NOW, TBEHEFOR.F,, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COLD ISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, that
.the aforesaid budget be and the same is hereby adopted and approved as the budget for the
City of Yakima for the ensui.ng.fiscal year, and the City Clerk is hereby,directed to give
notice that said budget has been completed and placed on file,.and a copy thereof will be
furnished any tax payer who will call at the offi.ce of the Ci -ty Clerk therefor, and that
the City Commission of the City of Yakima will meet on the first I'lionday in October,1923,
at the offices of the City Commission in said. City at the hour of nine o'.clock A-U.,' for
the purpose of fixing the final :budget and making the tax levies and notifying any taxpayer
that he inay appear at said meeting and be heard for or against any part of said budget, and
said notice shall be published once each week for two consecutive weeks immediately follow-
ing the adoption of said preliminary budget,.'
