Loved by Rovig, .seconded by Fraser, that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, June 4th,1923, be approved as read; carried, Rovig,Fraser and Marble voting aye o I n roll call. Moved by Fraser, seconded by Rovig, that claims on the Current.Expense, Cemetery, Park, Permanent Highway and Local Improvement District Funds be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants therefor; carried, Rovig,Fraser and Marble voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO.B- 837,1IAlI,REAS, on the 7th day of December 1920, a contract was entered into between the Sisters of Charity of the House of Providence, in the Territory of VJas:.ington, a corporation, and the City of Yakima, a municipal corporation, wherein and whereby it was agreed that the City should purchase from it Block 65-of-the City of Yakima, according to the official plat thereof on file and of record in the office of the Auditor of Yakima Count:,,,Was; °iington, and in said contract it was provided that the purchase price of $i2,000.0 should. be paid in installments .of $1,000.00 per year on the first day of November of each and every year after a certain date, with interest at 6% per annum, and-it was further pro- vided therein that any other or greater amounts might be paid at any.time;and "JII.EREAS, the City of Yakima has on hand a sum of money in its bond sinking fund. which is not drawing any interest and should be properly invested so that interest may be derived therefrom ; and ,'1HEREAS, there is owing upon saidncontract the sum of $8,000.00, and it is deemed expedient by the City Commission of the City of Yakima that $8,000.00 be taken from the bond sinking fund and used to pay off said obligation, and that there be prepaid to the bond sink ing fund out of the Park Fund Wh ch ?mould otherwi-s-e be used to pay said obligation according to the terms of said contract,. together with interest'as provided therein,.thereby enabling that portion of said bond sinking fund to earn 6% per annum. NOIW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE. CITY COMMISSION, of the City of Yakima, that the sum of $8,000.00 be taken from the bond sinking fund 'of the City of Yakima and used to pay. to the Sisters of Charity of the House of Providence, in the Territory of Washington, a corporation, the sum of $8,000.00 and $268.00 accrued interest, in full settlement -of the obligation incurred by virtue of the aforesaid contract upon a good and 'sufficient deed being executed by said corporation to the City for said real estate, that there be repaid int the said bond sinking fund on or about the.first day of Novernber,1923, and on or about the first day of 'November of each year thereafter not less than the sum of $1,000.00 out of the Park funds of said city, together with interest at the rate of 6% per annum on all unpaid amounts until the aforesaid sum of $8,000.00, arid the said sum of .,268.00 interest, together with all of the accrued interest shall be paid in full, and said bond_ sinking fund be fully reimbursed. Moved by Fraser, seconded by Marble, that grdinance No..A -791 be passed to its second reading and read by title only; carried, 'Rovig,Frase2� and Marble voting aye on roll call. Moved by Fraser, seconded.by.Marble, that Ordinance No.A -791 be passed to its third reading and read in full; carried, Rovig,Frauer and filarble voting aye on roll call. Moved by Fraser, seconded by Marble,. that Ordinance No.A -791 be passed as finally read; carried, Rovig,Fraser qnd Marble voting aye on roll call. Moved by lViarble, seconded by Fraser, that this being the time and place for the hearing on the assessment roll in Local Improvement Zistriet No. 375, and no protests being presented in writing or otherwise against said assessment roll by.-property owners in said district, it is hereby ordered that the ordinance confirming said assessment roll be passed as finally read; carried, Rovig,Fraser and Marble voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO.A -792, entitled: "An Ordinance confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improvement District No. 375, a.s 'creat.ed and established by Ordinance No.A =779 of the Ordinances of the City of Yakima,'Washington" , was introduced by Marble, .and . read by the City Clerk. Moved by Fraser;.- seconded by rllarble, that Ordinance No.A -792 be passed to its second reading and read by title only; carried, Rovig,Fraser and Marble voting aye on roll call.
