Moved by Rovig, seconded by Fraser, that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, April 30th,1923, and adjourned meeting thereof be approved as read; carried, Rovig,Fraser and Marble voting aye on roll call. Moved by Fraser, seconded by Rovig, that claims on the Current Expense., Park and Playground Cemetery and Garbage Disposal Funds be allowed and-the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants therefor; carried, Rovig,Fraser and Marble voting aye on-roll call. Moved by Marble, - seconded by Fraser, that this being the time and place for. the hearing on Resolution No.B -833, to construct an irrigation system known as the Maclaren Extension System and no objections being presented in writing or otherwise; it is ordered that the ordinance creating a Local Improvement Distri -ct for said improverr�ent.be laid on the table for one week; carried, Rovig,Fraser and Marble voting aye on roll call. Moved by Marble, seconded by Fraser, that the completion of the improvement _in Local Improvement District No. 368 to construct an irrigation system, by the contractors, Coluccio & Erickson in the sum of $29,353.73 is hereby accepted and -the City Engineer authorized to prepare an assessment roll in said district and the City Clerk authorized to give notice of hearing on said roll by publication as required by-law f.or Monday, May 28th,1923, at 9 o'clock A.M. carried, Rovig,Frgser and Marble voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO-A-784, entitled: "An Ordinance relating to the preservation and protection of the public health, providing a penalty for its violation and declaring an emergency ",was introduced by Rovig and read by-.,the City Clerh. Moved by Fras,er,.seconded by Rovig, that Ordinance N6,.A -784 be passed to its second reading and read by title only; carried, Rovig,Fraser and Marble voting aye on roll call. Moved by Fraser, seconded by Rovig, that Ordihance No.A -784 be passed to, its third reading and read in full; carried, Rovig,Fraser and Marble voting aye oh roll call. Moved by Fraser, seconded by Rovig, that Ordinance No-A -784 be pas.sed.as finally read; carried, Rovig,Fraser and I'Aarble voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO.B -834; BE- IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY_ COT,IMISSION- OF- THE CITY OF YAKINA.,V,ASHINGTON' That it is the intention of the City Commission to improve Block 32'in the City of Yakima,Washington, by constructing an eight inch clay pipe sewer in the alley along the following line: Beginning at the north line of Walnut Street and to extend thence northerly along the center line of said alley to a point 10 feet south of the south line of Chestnut Street and to be provided with one flush tank and thirty -two wye branches, being one Faye branch for each lot abutting upon said alley, and by doing all such other work as may-be necessary in connection therewith, all in accordance. with the plans--,and specifications therefor., pre- pardd by the City- Engineer and filed with the City Clerk. All persons who may desire to object to said - proposed improvpment. are, hereby notified to appear and present such objections at a meeting of th.e City Commission to be held at its offices in the City Office Bgilding, in the City of Yakima,Wash.ington, at the hour of nine o'clock A.M. on Monday, the 28th day of May,1923, which time and place are hereby.fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said proposed improvement, all objections thereto and for determining the method of payment therefor., and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement. The cost and expense of said improvement shall be borne by and assessed against all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor as provided by law, and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing all of the data and other-information required by law to be submitted by him.
