Loved by Rovig, seconded by Fraser, that the minutes of the regular meeting-of Monday, April 9th,1923, be approved as read; carried, Rovig,Fraser and Marble voting aye on roll call. Moved by Fraser, seconded. by Rovig, that clairris on the Current expense, .Park and Playground, Cemetery and Local Improvement Funds be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants therefor; carried, Rovig,Fraser and I: +Iarble voting aye on roll call. Moved by Marble, seconded by Fraser, that the street payroll from April 2nd to April l'4th, 1923, on the Current. Expense Fund in the surd of $1320.00; Park and Playground ,209.50; Cemetery Fund, $300.00 and Cemetery Care Fund, $21.00 be allowed and-the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants therefor; carried, Rovig,Fraser and.Marble voting aye on roll call. Moved by Marble, seconded by Fraser, that the claim of Martha Grass in. the sum of $6000.00 for damages alleged to have been sustained by reason of tripping on. a .loose board .in the sidewalk in front of 410 North Fourth Street is hereby rejected; carried, Rovig,Fraser and Marble voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO.B -833, BE IT Rli,SOLVED BY TTJ`) CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTOA: That it is necessary that there shall be made a special improvement in the distribution system of the Maclaren Street Water System covered by Local Improvement Distrir. No. 253 as created and established by Ordinance No.A =92 of the ordinances of the City of Yakima, -and it is the intention of-the City Commission pursuant to Section 4 of Chapter 112 of the Session Laws of 1915 to make such special improvement which shall consist of the distribution of a creosoted wood stave pipe line along; the following.route: Beginning on St. Helens Street in the City of Yakima, Washington, at its inter >ection at the alley east of ,Fifth Avenue South,- thence south along said alley .to a point 35 feet north of the north line of Baker Street, said pipe to be three inches in inside diameter and to be provided with one blow off and 16 one -half inch service connect- ions being one connection for each lot abutting upon each side of-said..alley, together with such workas may be necessary to make.a completed improvement, all in accordance with the plans and specifications to be prepared by the City Zngineer. The property to be assessed. for this special,improvement will consist of Lots 1 to 16, both inclusive, in Block 10, Boulevard Addition to'the City of Yakir:ta, according to the official plat on file and of record in the office of. the Auditor of Yakima County, Washington. All of the cost and expense of the improvement, together with and including engineering, advertising and all other expenses shall be assessed against all of the aforesaid property in accordance with the special benefit conferred thereon. All persons who may desire to object to,the proposed improvement are hereby notified to ai3pear at a meeting of the City Commission to be held at the City Office Building in the City of Yakima,Washington, ..at, 9:00 o'clock A.M. , on Iuionday, .the 7th day of May,1923, which time and place are* hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relsting to said proposed improvement, all objections thereto and for-determining the method of payment therefor, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give.due notice of said hearing.and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement. Moved by Marble, seconded by Fraser, that this being the time and place.for receiving bids on Sub - District No. 4 of the General Water System., in Local Improvement District No. 372, and Coluccio & Erickson, contractors, being the only bidders in the sum of $10,696.16, it is ordered that the awarding of the contract and consideration of° said bid be laid on the table for one- week and notice given to the property owners-for a further hearing on said date for said: +improvement; carried, Rovig,Fraser and Marble voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO.A -781, entitled: "An Ordinance relating to and regulating the construction of buildings used as public automobile garages and limiting the occupancy of such buildings, providing regulations under which public. :garages may operate, providing for the use and storage of gasoline in public and private automobile garages, providing for the issuance of permits therefor, providing penalties for violation thereof, and declaring an emergency ", was introduced by Rovig, and read by the City Clerk. Loved by Fraser, seconded by Rovig, that Ordinance No.A-781 be passed to its second reading and read by title only; carried, Rovig,Fraser and Marble voting aye on roll call. Loved by Fraser, seconded by Rovig, that Ordinance No.A -781 be passed to its third reading and read in full; .carried, Rovig,Frazer and Marble voting aye on roll call. Moved by Fraser, seconded by Rovig, that Ordinance No.A -781 be passed as finally read; carried, Rovig,Fraser and Marble voting aye on roll call.
