27th,19.22, and adjourned meeting thereof be approved as 'read; carried, .Rovig,xraser and
Marble voting aye on roll calla
Moved by Fraser, seconded by Rovig, that claims on the Current Expense, Park and Playground,
Cemetery and Permanent Highway Funds 'be, Allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue
warrants therefor; carried, Rovig,Frnser and Marble voting R,-ye -on roll call.
Moved by- Yarble, seconded by Fraser,. that this being the time and place for th.e - hearing* on
Resolution No,B -820 , to construct water mains , la'ternl s , servi ce 4pi_pes etc : , along the ;al ley
south of Jerome Ave., from Pacific -Power & Light Companys Canal to the west line of l dson's
Second addition; and no objections being filed in writing or otherwise; . it is 'ordered 'that
the •ordinance creating a local improvement district be, laid ,on the table for one week; -

Moved by Marble; seconded by Fraser, that the completion -o.f the -contract by `the Yakima Paving
Company, contractors, in the sum of $60,358.32_for- paving -south.Thir-d Street in Local
Improvement District No,340, is hereby accepted and the City Engineer authorized to prepare
an assessment roll and the City Clerk authorized to give notice of hearing on snid.ssaessment
roll -by publication as required- by law; Q?id hearing to by on Thursday, December 28th,1922,
at 9 o'clock A. M. carried, Rovig,Frsser and Unrble voting aye on roll call;
Moved by Fraser, seconded by Rovig, that the City Treasurer; City Clerk,- -deputy :City Treasure
and deputy City Clerk are hereby :authorized to proceed with the work of mailing cards and
other clerical labor in connection -with nssessrent roll in Local Improvement District No.308,
and shall receive compensation therefor at the rate of 7:5 cents per hour for all overtime
employed i•n such.work; carried, Rovig,Fraser and Amble voting aye on roll call..'
RESOLUTION NO.A- 821,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY. "COMMISSION OF TIE CITY OF YAKITVIA,WASHIN +:TON:
That it is the intention of the City of Ynkimn to construct a vitrified clay pipe
sewer,'eight inches in inside diameter in the alley east of North Front Street beginning at
the north end of the eewer. heretofore constructed .in said alley at a point five feet south
of the south line of H Street and extending thence, ii_..
northerly along the center line of sa
alley to a point thirty five feet southerly from the .south line of North Avenue, said sewer
to be provided with one manhole, one nutomatic flush tank and thirty -two wye branches; being
one wye branch for each lot or fifty foot frontage on each side of said sewer, and bye :doing
All such other work as-may be necessary in connection therewith in accordance-with the plans
and specifications therefor to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk„
All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement are hereby
notified to appear -and present such objections at a meeting of the City Commission to 'te held
at its offices in the City Office Ruil. ding, in the City of Ynkima,Wnshington, at the hour of
nine o'clock A.M. on Friday, the 22nd day of December,1922, which time and place are hereby
fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to avid proposed improvement, all objections
thereto and for determining the method of pn,yment therefor, and the City Clerk is hereby
directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid
improvement.
The cost and expense of said improvement shall be borne by and ar^essed agningt
all of_ the property legally and properly as- essible thf�refdr as provided by law, and the
City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to, the City Commission at or prior to the date
fixed herein for said hearing all of the data and other information required by law to be
submitted by him.

W.M. Rosen;D.L. Dillon; L.Rita and Peter Yeinardi on their application for soft drink
licenses, and each appearing in person nt said 'nearing, it is ordered that the application of
each of the above applicants are hereby denied a license to conduct a soft drink parlor and
the City Clark authorized to give notice in writing eo each applicant; ,carried, Rovig,Frnser
and Marble voting aye on roll call.
