November 6th,1922, be approved as rend; carried, Rovig,Fraser and Marble voting aye on roll
call.

` ORDINANCE NO.A -717, entitled: "An Ordinance relating to the. Local Improvement covered by
Local Improvement .Di strict 13o. 353. of the City of Yakimn ,Washington , �provid.ing for the payment .
of a certain portion of the coat and expense thereof by the City of Yakima, and amending
Section 4 of Ordinance No.A -673 of the Ordinances of said City. being; an Ordinance entitled:
"An Ordinance providing for the construction of water mains, laterals, service pipes snk
appurteni.4nces, nequiring rights of way therefor, together with water and water rights for
the purpose of furnishing water for irrigntion-snd domestic purposes to certain property in
the City of Yakima, IT- Ashington, establishing a Local Improvement District; providing for the
levy and 'collection of special assessments, and a method of payment of the cost aric', expense
therefor ", was introduced by Marble and read by the City Clerk.

.RESOLliTION NO.B -820, ' HRREAS, Py Ordinance 17o.A -594, creating and establishing Local
Improvement District No.308, providing for the construction of a general water system; it
was provided that whenever it,was deemed expedient by the City Commission to install add-
itional pipe lines, laterals and service connections to delivet water to individual lots,
tracts and parcels of land within the limits of said district, such other Local Improvement-
Districts would be established as might be deemed necessary and the cost and expense to be
incurred in furnishing and supplying such property with wnter..far irrigation and domestic
u9es would be paid by levying special assessments upon property within such District in
the manner provided by law, and
TNHFREAS, ' i.t is now deemed expedient by the City- Comrission that a Local_
Improvement District be formed for the purpose of constructing the necessary pipe lines and
appurtenances and acquiring nec.esaary water rights and rights of way in order to supply
various lots and tracts of land with water for irrigation and domestic purposes..

Along the alley south of Jerome Avenue from the Pacific Power and Light Company's
Canal to the .west line of T?dson':, Second Addition; thence north to Jerome'Avenue.; along
the alley south of Fairbanks Avenue and said alley extended. from Sixth Avenue North to the
P.P... &:L Canal; along the alley a,outh of Cherry Avenue and said alley extended from Sixth
Avenue North to.Sixteenth Avenue North; along the alley south of Roosevelt Avenue from
Sixth Avenue No -r.•th to Sixteenth Avenue North; along; the alleys -Routh of McKinley Avenue
and south of-Garfield Avenue and -Raid alleys extended from Pierce Avenue to Sixteenth
avenue North; along the.slleys -south of Lincoln Avenue-and south of Jefferson Avenue and
said alleys extended from Pierce Avenue to the west line of Lot 1, Cottage Hill Addition;

district abutting upon either Ride of the lateral. pipe lines, herein provided for.
All of the cost and expense of the construction and ins=tallation of said pipe lines
and appurtenances, acquiring and purchasing easements and rig'its df way, engineering,
advertising and all . other expenses incident thereto shall be assessed -.against all-of the
property within the limits of the above described boundaries in the manner provided by law.
All persons who may desire to object.to the proposed improvement are hereby notifies
to appear at a meeting of the City Commission to be held at the City Office Building in tze
City of Yakims,Wasnington, a 9:00 o'clock A.M. on Mondny, the 4th day of December,1922,
which time and place are hereby fixed for the hparing of all matters relating to said pro-
posed improverr_ent, a?ll objections thereto and. for determining the method of psyrr -ent therefo:
and the City Clark is hereby directed to give due notice of said fearing and of than intenti(
to make the aforesaid im-orovemmpnt.
The cost and expense of said improvement shall. be borne by and as'4eesed against a,11
of the property legally and properly assessible therefor as provided�by law, and the City
Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission at, or prior to the date fixed
herein for said hearing !all of the data and °other information required by law to be
submitted by him.
