The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Rovig and Commissioners Fraser and Yinrble
voting aye on roll call.

call.
Moved by Marble, seconded by Fraser, that the ayrolls for the Streets-,Department in the sum
of $882.57; Cemetery, $132.00; Cemetery Care, 126.00; Park and Playground, $108.00;
General Sewer Construction, $10.50 and Permanent Highway, $143.76 be allowed and the City
Clerk authorized to issue warrants therefor; carried, Rovig,Fraser and V.arble voting aye on
roll call.
Moved by Marble, seconded by Fraser, that the City Engineer Having reported the completion
. of . the - construction of, the'- sewer-." ^on Sixteenth Avenue in Local Improvement District No. 329,
by the contractor', R.M. Hardy in the sum of $76,453.43; said work is hereby accepted and the
City Clerk authorized tg, give notice of hearing -on the a ^segsment roll-by publication as
regt1ired by law; said hearing to be set for Monday, the 6th day of November,1922, at 9 o °cloc

paving of South Second Street in Local Improvement District No.330, be continued for week;

Moved by Marble, seconded by Rovig, tY}at the bond of Genry & Dunn, contractors, for con-
structing A sewer east of Nineteenth Avenue South in Local Improvement District No. 346,
for the sum of $".n924.00 is hereby approved and filed with the City Clerk; carried, Rovig,
Fraser and Marble voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Marble, seconded by Rovig, that the bond of Geary & Dunn, contractor, for con-
structing cement sidewalks on North Second Avenue in Local Improvement District No.. 362,
for the sum of $3032.32 is hereby approved and filed with the City Clerk; carried, Rovig,
Fraser and Marble voting =aye on roll call.
Moved by Marble, seconded by Fraser, that this being the time and place for the hearing on
Resolution No.B -816, to improve Vilest Chestnut Street et al, by constructing an irrigation
system, and no protests being presented in writing or otherwise, it is ordered that the
ordinance creating a Local Improvement District be laid on the table for one week; carried,
Rovig,Frarer and Marble voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Marble, seconded by Fraser, that this being; the time and place for the hearing on
Resolution No.R -815, to improve the east side of Chicago Avenue from West Yakima Avenue to
Went "A" Street And no_l protests being presented either in writing or otherwise, it is
ordered that the ordinance creating a Local Improvement District be laid on the table for
one week; carried, R.ovig,,Frnser And marble voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO.A -705, en.titled: "An Ordinance creating the office of Deputy City Treasurer,
providing for the prescribing of his duties and fixing his compensation ", wee introduced by
Marble and read by the City Clerk.
Moved by Fraser, seconded by Marble, that Ordinance No.A -705 be passed to its second reading
and read by title only; carried, Rovig,Fraser and Marble voting aye on roll call.

RESOLUTION NO.B -818 , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIYA ,VIASHINGTON
That it is its intention to improve the east side of Broadway Avenue from
Stewart Avenue to a line 500 feet north of Stewart Avenue, the north side of Stew'-art Avenue
from Broadway Avenue to Second Avenue South, and the west side of Second Avenue South from
Stewart Avenue to a line 500 feet north of Stewart Avenue, by the construction of Portland
cement concrete sidewalks five feet in width, and by doing all such gther work as may be .
necessary in connection therewith, all in accordance with the plans and specifications there-
for, prepared by the City Engineer, and filed with the City Clerk.
All persons who may desire to object to said. proposed improvement Are hereby
notified to appear and present such objections at a meeting of the City Commission to be held
at its offices in the City Office Building, in the City of Ynkima,Wnshington, At the hour of
nine o'clock A.M. or, Monday, the 6th day of November,1922, which time and place are hereby
fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to ssid proposed improvement, all. objections
thereto and for determining the method of payment therefor, and the City Clerk is hereby
directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid
improvement.
The cost and expense of said improverr,ent shall be borne by and assessed
against All of the property legally and properly aesessible therefor As provided by law, and
the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date
fixed herein for said hearing all of the data and other information required by law
to be submitted by him®
ADOPTED by the City Commission this 16th day of October,1922.
