Marble voting aye on roll call. '
Moved by Rovig, seconded by Fraser, that the minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,
September 18th,1922, be approved as read; carried, Rovig,FraSer and Marble voting aye on
roll - ,call.
Moved by Fraser, seconded by`Marble, that claims on the Current Expense, •P:lrk and Cemetery
Funds be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants therefor; carried, Rovig,
Fra eer and Marble voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Marble, seconded by Fraser, that an 'extension of time from October 1st to October
20th,1922, be granted to Geary & Dunn, Contractors, for constructing a sewer in the alley
east and west. -of South 6th Street in Local Improvement District No. 351; carried, Rovig,
Fraser and Marble voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Marble, seconded by Fraser, that the assessment roll_ for Local Improvement Distric
No;330 be revised by eliminating therefrom the assessment upon part of the "Pest Half of '
Northwest quarter of Northeast quarter of Section 30- 13 -19; Beginning on the East line of
South Third Street 832.64 N. of north line of Washington Street; thence east 80.80,;
thence :`Wly parall.el with the east lane of South 2nd Street., .' 0.454 to east line Sotxth
3rd Street; thence south to point of beginning, and that, there be a r.eaasRessment of the
other property: in said Local Improvement District and upon a re -a Rse 4ment roll being pre-
pared by -the City Engineer, the City Clerk shall give notice of a rP- hearing ry publication
as provided by law; said hearing to be on Monday, the 16th day of October,1922, at the hour

Moved by Marble, seconded by Fraser, that the bid of R.M. Hardy to construct a sewer on
Nineteenth Avenue South in Local Improvement District N0.360 in the cum of $1804.92 is
hereby accepted. as the lowest and best bid; carried, Rovig,Fraser and Marble voting aye on
ro,l l call.
Moved by Marble, seconded by Fraser, that the bond of Yakima Paving Company in the Sum of
$2306.06 to construct a pavement in the alley in Mock 72 in Local Improvement District
No.356, is hereby approved and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to enter into a
contract for the doing of said work; carried, Rovig,Fr<aser snd T!arble voting aye -on roll c
Moved by Marble, seconded by Fraser, that the bond of the Yakima Paving Company in the sum
of $6948.31 to construct cement sidewalks on South Eighth Street in Local Improvement
District N0.359 is hereby approved and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to enter into
a contract for the doing of said work; carried, Rovig, Fraser and Marble voting s,ye•on
roll call.
Moved by Marble, seconded by Fraser, that the claim of Stephen St.George et ux, in the sum
of $900.00 alleged to have been sustained by reason of insufficient irrigation water to
certain crops is hereby rejected; carried, .Rovig,Friser and marble voting aye on roll call.
RESOLUTION N043 -815, PE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMI,4ISSION OF TIF' CITY OF YAKIMA,WA.SHINGTON
That it is its intention to improve the east side of Chicago Avenue from
` "e,t Yakima Avenue to Vest A Street, excepting in front of Lots 12 and 13, also the West
side thereof from West A Street to a point 265 feet south of the same, by the construction
of a Portland cement concrete sidewalk five feet in width, and by doing; all such other
work as may be .necessary in connection therewith, P11 i .,n accordance with the plans and
Specifications therefor, prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk.
All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement are hereby
notified to appear �:�nd present such objections at a meeting of the City Commission to be
held st its offices in the City Office Building, in the City of YskimR,Wpehir,,_-ton, at the
hour of nine o'clock A.M. on Monday, the 16th day of October,1922, which time and place
are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said-, proposed improvement, all
objections thereto end for determining the method of payment therefor, and: the City Clerk
is hereby directed to gibe due notice of said hearing snd ,of the intention to make the
aforesaid improvement.
The cost end expense of said improvement shall. be borne by and assessed
against all of the property Legally and properly sssessible therefor as provided by law,
and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to-the City Commission,st or prior to
the date fixed herein for said hearing -11 of the data and other information required by
lav, to be submitted by him.

RESOLUTION NO.B -816, WHEREAS, By Ordinance No. A -594, cr ,6at.ing and establishing Local
Improvement District No..308, providing for the construction of a general water system,
it was provided that whenever it was deemed expedient by'the City Commission to install
additional pipe lines, laterals and service connections to deliver water to individual
lots, tracts and parcels of land, within'the limits''of said District, Such other Local
Improvement District would be established as rnight be deemed necessary and the cost and
expense to be incurred in furnishing and supplying such property with water for irrigation
and domestic uses would be paid by levying special assessments upon property within Such
district in the manner provided by law, end

WHEREAS, it is now deemed expedient by the City Comr_.issi.on that a Local Improvement
District be formed for the purpose of -constructing the nece_ssnry -Pipe Lines end, - appurtenances
And acquiring necessary water rights and rights of way in order to supply various lots and
t.rsets of land with water for irrigation and domestic purposes. ®�
NOW THRRFrORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TIE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YkYIYA,
V.'ASHINGTON :
That i -t is the intention of the City Commias`ion to construct water rosins and
laterals for the purpose of supplying water for irrigation and domestic uses to the property
within the limits of the following described boundaries: Beginning at the intersection of
West Chestnut Street and Second Avenue South;. thence southerly along; Second Avenue South to
lest Pine Street, thence piesterly along West Pine Street, thence westerly along YVest Pine
Street to Fifth Avenue South, thence northerly along Fifth Avenue South to West `Chestnut
Street, thence easterly along 'Fesit Chestnut Street to the place of beginning.
This improvement is to consist of the acquiring of the necessary, water rights for
furnishing water for irrigation and domestic purposes to all the property within the above
described boundaries and the construction of lateral pipe lines connecting with the main
pipe lines of the General Vister System of the City of Yakima, and extending northerly and
southerly through each of the alleys within the boundaries of the proposed district and a
pipe line beginning At the main pipe line on Sixth Avenue South end extending; thence
easterly along West Chestnut Street to the alley east of Third Avenue South, _together with
one -hnl.f inch galvanized iron service connections extending from said lateral pip.e-lines
to the mar -inal line of each lot within said district abutting upon either aide of the
lateral pipe lines herein provided for.
All of the cost and expense of the construction and inotsllntion' of said pipe lines
and appurtenances, acquiring and purchasing easements and rights of way, engineering,
advertising.snd All other expenses incident thereto shall be assessed against ell of, the
propertytwith1n the limits of the Above described bounderies in the m:?nner provided by Inw.

to appear at a meeting of the City Commission to be held at the CityG:Office Building in the
City of Ynkima,Wsshington, at 9:00 o'clock A.k1. on Monday the 16th day of October, 1922,
