Moved by Fraser, seconded by`Marble, that claims on the Current Expense, •P:lrk and Cemetery Funds be allowed and the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants therefor; carried, Rovig, Fra eer and Marble voting aye on roll call. Moved by Marble, seconded by Fraser, that an 'extension of time from October 1st to October 20th,1922, be granted to Geary & Dunn, Contractors, for constructing a sewer in the alley east and west. -of South 6th Street in Local Improvement District No. 351; carried, Rovig, Fraser and Marble voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION N043 -815, PE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMI,4ISSION OF TIF' CITY OF YAKIMA,WA.SHINGTON That it is its intention to improve the east side of Chicago Avenue from ` "e,t Yakima Avenue to Vest A Street, excepting in front of Lots 12 and 13, also the West side thereof from West A Street to a point 265 feet south of the same, by the construction of a Portland cement concrete sidewalk five feet in width, and by doing; all such other work as may be .necessary in connection therewith, P11 i .,n accordance with the plans and Specifications therefor, prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement are hereby notified to appear �:�nd present such objections at a meeting of the City Commission to be held st its offices in the City Office Building, in the City of YskimR,Wpehir,,_-ton, at the hour of nine o'clock A.M. on Monday, the 16th day of October,1922, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said-, proposed improvement, all objections thereto end for determining the method of payment therefor, and: the City Clerk is hereby directed to gibe due notice of said hearing snd ,of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement. RESOLUTION NO.B -816, WHEREAS, By Ordinance No. A -594, cr ,6at.ing and establishing Local Improvement District No..308, providing for the construction of a general water system, it was provided that whenever it was deemed expedient by'the City Commission to install additional pipe lines, laterals and service connections to deliver water to individual lots, tracts and parcels of land, within'the limits''of said District, Such other Local Improvement District would be established as rnight be deemed necessary and the cost and expense to be incurred in furnishing and supplying such property with water for irrigation and domestic uses would be paid by levying special assessments upon property within Such district in the manner provided by law, end r2 0 11. 6, September 25th,1922. WHEREAS, it is now deemed expedient by the City Comr_.issi.on that a Local Improvement District be formed for the purpose of -constructing the nece_ssnry -Pipe Lines end, - appurtenances And acquiring necessary water rights and rights of way in order to supply various lots and t.rsets of land with water for irrigation and domestic purposes. ®� NOW THRRFrORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TIE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YkYIYA, V.'ASHINGTON : That i -t is the intention of the City Commias`ion to construct water rosins and laterals for the purpose of supplying water for irrigation and domestic uses to the property within the limits of the following described boundaries: Beginning at the intersection of West Chestnut Street and Second Avenue South;. thence southerly along; Second Avenue South to lest Pine Street, thence piesterly along West Pine Street, thence westerly along YVest Pine Street to Fifth Avenue South, thence northerly along Fifth Avenue South to West `Chestnut Street, thence easterly along 'Fesit Chestnut Street to the place of beginning. This improvement is to consist of the acquiring of the necessary, water rights for furnishing water for irrigation and domestic purposes to all the property within the above described boundaries and the construction of lateral pipe lines connecting with the main pipe lines of the General Vister System of the City of Yakima, and extending northerly and southerly through each of the alleys within the boundaries of the proposed district and a pipe line beginning At the main pipe line on Sixth Avenue South end extending; thence easterly along West Chestnut Street to the alley east of Third Avenue South, _together with one -hnl.f inch galvanized iron service connections extending from said lateral pip.e-lines to the mar -inal line of each lot within said district abutting upon either aide of the lateral pipe lines herein provided for. All of the cost and expense of the construction and inotsllntion' of said pipe lines and appurtenances, acquiring and purchasing easements and rights of way, engineering, advertising.snd All other expenses incident thereto shall be assessed against ell of, the propertytwith1n the limits of the Above described bounderies in the m:?nner provided by Inw.
