The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Rovig and Commissioner Fraser voting.aye
on ..roll call., Comm.i.sai.oner. Ybrb -le absent.
Moved by Fraser, -seconded by Rovig, that the minutes of the regular. meeting.of Monday,
July 10th,1922, be approved nG read; carried, Rovig and Fraser voting aye on roll. call,
Marble absent.
RESOLUTION 140.B -804, BE IT RESOLVED PY THE CITY COMM ISSiOfi( OF THE CITY OF YAK_IMA,
WASHINGTON: That it is its intention to improve South Third Street from Walnut Street to
its in with. South Second Street, by grading and paving the same with either a
one course Portland cement soncrete pavement or with a pavement . having a bituminous concrete
wearing surface and wither a Portland cement concrete base, a black base or` a, erushed rock
base; or with a pavement having a bitulithic wearing surface and either a Portland cement
concrete base, a `black base or a crushed .rock base, the pavement to be 60 feet' in width from
Walnut Street to Spruce Street, 50 feet in width from Spruce Street to Race Street, and 24
feet in width from Race Street to South Second Street, by constructing combined curbs and
gutters along both.sides of said pavement from Walnut Street to Race Street, together with
the necessaryr culverts, pipes'and drains for drainage and irrigation ptiirposes and concrete
walks at street intersections between Vinlnut Street and Race Street, and by doing'nll such
other workeras may be necessary to'connection therewith, all in accordance with the plans.
and specifications therefor, prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk.
All persons who may.deaire to object to said proposed improvement are hereby
notified to appear and pre sent. such object iong. at a meeting of the City Commission to be
held in its offices in the.City Office Building, in the City of Yakima,V'ashing'ton, at the
hour of 9:00 o'clock A.M. on Monday, the 7th day of August,1922, which time and place are
hereby fixed for the henring.of all matters relating to said proposed improvement, all
objections thereto and for determining the method of payment therefor, and the City Clerk
is hereby directed .to give due notice of said Yienrir.g and of the intention to make the
s fo re ra id improverr�ent . '
The cost and expense of Paid improvement shall. be borne by and assessed against
all of the property legally and pro perly'ssGessible therefore ns provided. by law, and the
C,_ty Engineer is 'hereby directed to submit to the City C.ommismion nt or prior to the date
fixed herein f r said hen all of the data and other information required by law to be
submitted by him. .

laterals, service pipes and appurtenances, acquiring rights of way ther"e"for, together with
water and water rights for the purpose of furnishing water for irrigation and domestic pur-
poses to certain property in the City of Yakima,Washington, establishing a Zocal Improve-
ment District, providing for the levy and collection of special assessments, and a method
of payment of the cost and expense thereof, was intro °duced by Rovig, and. read by the
City Clerk.
