Moved by Rovig, seconded by Fraser, that the minutes of. the regular meeting of 19ondsy, ray 29t.h,1922, and adjourned meeting; thereof be approved as read; carried, Rovig,Fraser and Irtarble voting aye on roll call. Moved by Fraser, seconded by Marble, that claims on the Current Expense, C.emetery,l Pa .r1 and General Sevier Systems be allowed grid the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants therefor; carried, Rovig.,Fraser and Marble voting aye on roll. call. Moved by Rovir;, seconded by Fraser, that the following - licenses be candell.ed becau ^e of violation of liquor ordinances: R.W1. Craig, Lennox Hotel, License Yo.1789; Mrs. H.C. Moved by Marble, seconded by Fraser, that this being; the time and place for -the hearing on Resolution No.P -784 for constructing an irrigation system in Loma Vista Addition and no protests being presented in writing or otherwise; it is ordered that the ordinance• creating a Local Improvement District for said improvement be laid on the table for one week; carried, Rovig,Fra,ser and Marble voting -aye on roll. call. Moved by Marble, seconded by Fraser, the t this being the, time and place for the hearing on Resolution No.B -785, for constructing a sewer for the Rroadwsy Extension District, and no protests being presented in writing or otherwise, it is ordered that the ordinance creating A Local Improvement District for said improvement be laid on the table for one week; carried, Rovig,Fraser and 10a.rble voting aye on roll call. Moved by1liarble, seconded by Fraser, that this being the- time and place for the hearing on Resolution No.B -786, for .constructing a -ewer for. the West 18th Avenue District, and no protests being presented in writing or otherwise, it is ordered that the Ordinance- creating a Local Improvement District for said. improvement be laid on the table for one week; carried, Rovig,Fraser and- I'arble voting syel,on -roll call. Moved by Marble, seconded by Fraser, that this being the time and place for the hearing on Resolution No.B -788, to construct a cement concrete sidewalk_ on Adams Avenue; and a protest being filed in writing repre^enting approximately 53% of the abutting property in blocks 179 and 199 respectively, it is ordered,thnt Plocks 179 and 199 re eliminated from said proposed improvement, and the.ordinnnce creating a local improvement district for the balance of said district is ordered Laid on the table for one week; carried, Rovig, Fraser and Ysrble voting aye on roll call. Moved by marble, seconded by Tra.ser, that this being, the time and place for the hearing on Resolution No.B -789, to construct a cement conc.re-te sidewalk on last Yakima Avenue District, and no protests being presented in writing or otherwise, it is ordered that the ordinance creating a local improvement district for said improvement be laid on the table for one week; carried, Rovig,Fraser and Marble voting aye on roll call. Moved by Ynrble, apconded by Fraser, that this being the time and place for the hearing on Resolution No.B -790, to construct a cement concrete sidewalk on South_ 7th Street and no protests being presented in writing or otherwise, it is ordered, that the ordinance creating a,local improvement district for said improvement be laid on the table for one week; carried, Rovig,Fraser and Marble voting aye on roll- call. Moved by Marble, seconded by Fraser, that 600 feet of 2-�' inch fire hose be purchased by the city for use in the Street Department; said hose to be the sum of $1.10 .per. foot; carried., Rovig,Fraser and Marble voting aye on roll call. Moved by Marble, seconded by Fraser, that the city engineer having reported completion of t improvement-of paving Block 1.0, in Local Improvement District No.339, by`the contractors Geary & Dunn, in the sum of $1490.88; the same is hereby accepted and the c.it,y c.l.erk authorized to give. notice of hearing on the assess.a,ent roll by publicet.ion as required. by law fixing; Monday, July 3rd,1922,. at 9 o'clock A.M. as the time for said henrz.rg; carried, Rovig,Fraser and Mnrb le voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE YO.Q -656, entitled: "An Ordinance providing for the construction of vitrified pi-@e sewers in the City of Yakima, establishing a Loc=h Improvement District, providing the method of payment therefor and creating a special fund", was introduced by Unrble and ° read by the city cleric. t Moved by Rovig, seconded by Marble, that Ordinance Yo.A-656 be passed to its second reading, and read by title only; carried, Rovig,Fraser and Marble voting; nye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO.B- 793,NVHEREAS, Complaints having been made to the City Commis-aion that Ciettie Bertram, operfating the Palace Hotel under license from the City of Yakima, in said city,. has violated the terms and nrovi4ions of Ordinance No.A -360 . NOW,. THEREFORE, BF IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON That a hearing be-had upon the complaints made to determine whether or not the license of. the said Nettie Bertram to operate the said Palace Hotel be revoked and cancelled and 111ednesday the 14th day of June,1922, qt the hour of 10 o'clock A.M . be. and the same is hereby fixed as tree time and place of said hearing and that the said Nettie Bertram be given notice thereof by the City Clerk by causing the same to,be personmIly served upon her 2 days prior to the.date of said hearing. RESOLIITI:)N NO.13- 794,1EFREAS , On the 5th, day of June,1922, by a Yotion duly made and carried, the City Commission determined and decided to revoke the license held by Nettie 130',rtram to operate .a hotel and rooming house for transient guests in the City of Yak #ma , W,9 shington, and on said date the said Nettie Pertram was notified accordingly, and WHEREAS, it appears to the City Commission that by the terms and provisions of Section 11 of Ordinance N6.A -360 of the Ordinances of'.the City of Yakima, that before any such license can be revoked the holder thereof must.be notified and be given a hearing therein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF TIM CITY OF YAKIMA, WAalINGTON . That tale action of the City Commission heretofore taken on the 5th day of June 1922, cancelling and revoking-the license of the said Nettie Bertram to operate a.hotel and rooming house for transient guests'in the City of 7akima,Wsshing_,ton, be land the same is hereby set aside and held for naught And that said license be restored to the said Nettie Bertram, together with all rights thereunder. Kearns, operating the Park Hotel. under license from the City of Yakima, in Laid city, hag, violated the terms and provisions of Ordinance No.A -.360. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON. That a hearing be had upon the complaints made to determine whether or not the. - license of the said H.C. Kearns to operate the said Park Hotel be revoked and cancelled,': a. rid Wednesday, the .14th dad o.f June ,1922, at the hour. of 10:30, o'clock A.M. be and the Name is hereby fixed 79s the time and place of said hearing and that the said H.C. Kearne to operate a hotel and rooming house for transient guests in the city of Yakima, Wnehington, and on said date the said al..C. Kearns wqs notified accordingly, and `` EREAS, it appears to the City Commission' that 'by the - terms and provisions of Sect: 11 of Ordinance No.A -360 of the Ordinances of the City of Yakima, that before .any such license can be revoked "the holder thereof must be not -ified and be given a hearing thereon. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED 137 THE CITY ,COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON . That the action of the City Commission heretofore taken on the 5th dny.of June, 1922, cancelling and revoking the license of the said H.C. Kearns to operate a hotel and rooming house for transient,.guests in'the City of Yakima,Wgshington, be and the srqme is hereby set aside and held for nnught' and that said license be restored to the said H.•C. Moved by Rovig, seconded by Fraser, that the action of the City Commission of June 5th,1922, revoking license No. 1854 issued to Florence Williams to'operate a hotel be rescinded, and a hearing given to said Florence Williams, on.Wednesday, June 14th at 11:30 A.M. to show cause, if any, why said license should not be revoked; carried, Rovig,Fraser' =)nd Marble voting aye on roll call.
