The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, July 19, 1948 were approved as read: Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that the following claims be allowed and the City Clerk instructed to issue warrants on the following funds: Current Expense $15703.01; Street $1001.41; Library $384.83; Cemetery $67.19; Irrigation $407.29; Water $9,896.50; Cum. Res. (Mun. Pur) $80,899.42; Gas &_Oil $1867.75 and Library Gift $6.89: carried Buck, Bishop and Mark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Bishop, seconded by Clark that upon the report . of the City Engineer for the necessity for the extension of the "G" Street Sewer: It is ordered that said work be authorized and the City Clerk instructed to call for bids for Monday, August 9, 1948, at 10:00 oclock A.M: carried Buck, Bishop and C1ark.voting aye on roll call. Moved by Buck, seconded by Bishop that the ordinance amending Ordinance No. B -268, relative to the licensing of dogs in the City of Yakima was ",-introduced and ordered laid on the table for one week: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by' Clark, seconded by Bishop that the ordinance relating to the moving of build- ings and fixing a license therefor was introduced and ordered laid on the table for one week: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Clark, seconded by Buck ,that Resolution No. C -793 approving a, form of permit (Northern Pacific Railway No. 68892) authorizing the City to cross the N. P. Railway tracks with a trunk sewer pipe line at Mead Ave. be adopted as read: carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. C -7931 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION of Yakima, Washington, the Commission gives its approval to a form of permit (Northern Pacific Railway.Company No. 68892) authorizing. the City to cross the Northern Pacific Railway tracks with a trunk sewer pipe line at Mead Avenue, Yakima, Washington, and the Mayor and :City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute the said permit on behalf.of the City. BUCK City Clerk Mayor Moved by '.Clark, seconded by Buck that Ordinance No. B -902 creating a local improvement district for resurfacing 11th Avenue from the northerly line of West "A" St. to the northerly line of Division Street, be passed as read, and the City Clerk i's hereby instructed to advertise for bids as required by law, for Monday, August 9, 1948, at 10 :00 o'clock A.ME carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -902, providing for the improvement of property in the City of Yakima, Washington, by the improvement of Eleventh Avenue from the northerly lime of West "A" Street to the northerly line of Division Street therein; establishing a Local Improve- ment District, providing for the method of payment therefor and creating a special fund. Moved by Bishop, seconded by Buck that we do now adjourn to meet Saturday, July, 31, 1948, at 9 :00 o' clock A.M: , carried Buck, Bishop and Clark voting aye on roll call. Moved by Buck, seconded by .Clark that the payrolls for the month of July, 1948, be allowed aril the City Clerk authorized to issue warrants as follows: Various Depts. 6401.05; Irrigation $1400.00; Engineering $3190.00; Fire Dept. :$13,665.00; Police Dept. $12,325.00; F.R. &;P. $1997.30; P.R. & P. $310.00 and Water $13,872.34: carried Buck and Clark voting aye on roll call.# Bishop absent.
