RESOLUTION- NO."D' -239', A'RESOLUTION authorizing the City Manager and the City Clerk to execute an Agreement with the "Yakima-'County Humane Society whereby the Society will harber, confine and care for animals,impounded by the City. - T WHEREAS,- the -- City - of Yakima, -does- -not have adequate facilities for the harboring or confining of animals impounded under the ordinances of the City, and WHEREAS­ S­, t he 'YAiind - County - -Humane Society has the necessary personnel, equipment and facilities "fore - the "harboring; confining -arid caring for animals and is desirous of entering into an "Agreeirient. with "the - "City -of Yakima- whereby the said Society will harbor, confine and care for animals impounded by the City; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: That the City Manager and the City Clerk of the , City of Yakima •are hereby authorized and directed�to enter into'an Agreement with the.Yakima County Humane Society whereby the Society-will harbor,' "'co -nfine and care for animals impounded by-the City for a period 'of one year, a copy of which Agreement is hereto attached and by this reference made a part hereof. Keith absent. RESOLUTION NO., D -2409 A RESOLUTION authorizing the payment of $28.08 to Robert Morrisette. WHEREAS,- Oh- March'5, 1961, Robert•Morrisette sustained damages as a result of an accident occurring at 28th and West Yakima Avenues, and WHEREAS -,' the said,Robert- Morisette -,- within the time specified by law and City-Charter, to -wit:" On March -14; 1961 ", -made claim against the City for damages in the sum of $28.08 as the result of said'accident, and - WHEREAS; the- -City Council'find's-said sum of $28.08 to be a reasonable sum to be paid -in` settlement -of'- such - claim; and- it -is,in the best interests of the people of the City of Yakima to make such settlement, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF -THE CITY OF YAKIMA: That the Director of 'Finarice- of the City of Yakima is hereby authorized and directed to pay the sum-of- $28408 to Robert Morrisette upon the execution by the said Robert Morrisette of a Release absolving the City of Yakima from any and all liability as'a result of said occurrence.
