The minutes of the regular meeting: of Monday, December 13, 1954 an adjourned meeting thereof, were approved as read. This being the time for the hearing on the assessment roll for the construction of curbs and. gutters on 35th lvenue North, L. I. D. No. 781, and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to said assessment _roll or any part thereof, it was Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that Ordinance No. B -1635, confirming said assessment roll and every part thereof, be passed as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDINANIC�i, NO. .L3- 1635, AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improve- ment District No. 781 as created and established by Ordinance No. B -1587 of the Ordinances of the City of Yakima. This being the time for the hearing on the assessment roll providing for the constructior of curbs and. gutters on 30th Avenue North from Summitview Avenue to the Naches &I Cowiche Canal, L.I.D. No., 782 and there being; no objections in writing or otherwise to said assessment roll, or any part thereof, it was Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that Ordinance No. B -1635, confirming said assessment roll a.nd every part thereof, be passed as read., carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on. roll call. B -1636, AN ORDII +LANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local Impro ment District No. 782 as created and established by Ordinance No. B -1588 of the Ordinances of the City of Yakima. Move-J- by Burns, seconded by Huza that Ordinance No. B -1637 relating to license fees for Class "cif' Amusement devices, pinball machines, card tables, and other gaming devices be passed as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDIi'iANCE NO. B -1637, AN ORDINANCE relating to and prescribing the amount of license fees for Class "A" amusement devices, including, pinball machines, card tables, pool tables, and other gaming; devices; defining offenses, prescribing penalties, and repeal- ing portions of certain ordi,.-inces inconsistent herewith. An ordinance was introduced providing for the expenditure of funds not budgeted for an additional patrolman in the Police Departmentt; said ordinance was reed in full by the City Clerk, and laid on the table for one week as provided by law and the City Charter. Moved. by Burns, seconded by Huza that we do now adjourn to meet 'Alednesday, December 22nd; 1954 at 4 o'clock F. M., carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. Moved by Huza, seconded by Burns that Resolution No. C -1182 providing that the City of Yakima exercise the options heretofore procured for the purpose of enlarging and improv- ing the Yakima Municipal Airport, etc., be adopted as read, carried.: Burns, Huza and Huey voting; aye on roll call. RESOLtI.T.IOIv NO. C -11822 1,"OJEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. B -1627, passed December 1, 1954, condemnation suit has been commenced by the City of Yakima and is now pending as Cause I+1o. 39819; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COf�'MISSIOI� OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA : That the City of Yakima shall forthwith exercise the options executed by, and accept the offers made by the following; defendants in said proceeding for the followin- amounts, to-wit: Rex A. Mc Coy and wife, and Peter T. Velasque and wife, $700.00; Robert E. MacKenzie and wife, InOXO.00 and said Mackenzie to retain, and at his expense to remove from said land the house now situated thereon; and Harold D. Graham and wife, $7,500.00: anti. the City of Yakima shall purchase the property of said respective defendants described in the petition of said City in said condemnation pro- ceeding, for the purpose of enlarging and improving the Yakima Municipal Airport; and the City Treasurer is authorized and directed to make said payments in January, 1955, out of appropriate funds available therefor; and the appropriate city officials are authorized and directed to do any and all things necessary or proper for carrying out this resolution and dismissing said condemnation proceeding as to the defendants herein - abotre gamed, but not as to the remaining defendants therein.
