The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, December 6th, 1951, were approved as read. I`Ioved by Huey, seconded by Huza that the adjourned hearing on Resolution No. C-1173, re- parding the enlarged local improvement district to improve Gilbert Park located in the "Uplands", be postponed until a later date in order to give more time to the property oi,n -iers in said district for further discussion; the date for final action in the matter to be not later than the 15th of January 1955, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll.. call. Moved by Huza, seconded by Burns that the following ordinances fixing the time of delin- quency and prescribin,7 the form of bonds be passed as follows: Ordinance No. B -1629, for Lots 1 & 2 Shannon Homes Sewer District, L.I.D. No. 771; Ordinance No. B -1630, for Douglas Drive Sewer District, L.I.D. No. 773; Ordinance No. 'B -1631, for Lots 1 to 16, Rice- Dibbert Addition Sewer District, L.I.D. No. 775. ORDINANCE NO. B -1632, AN ORDINANCE repealing Section 34 of the Water Code of the City of Yakima, being Ordinance No. B -606 entitled "AN ORDINANCE relating to and regulating the operation of the Water Department of the City of Yakima; providing for the management and control thereof; providing for .rules regulating and fixing the use and price of water supplied by the City and connections therewith; amending and rewriting, Ordinance A -988 as amended; providing, penalties for the violation thereof; repealing certain ordinances and declaring an emer2'ency". ORI?I{vrA.NCE No. B-16331 AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. B -1190 entitled "ANT ORDINANCE relating to, regulating and licensing the business of merchant.patrolmen., defining such business, and fixing an effective date.". Moved- by Huey, seconded by Huza, that Resolution No. C- 1181, authorizing the City of Yakima to dispose of a. short electric power li-:e located at the intersection of Summit - view Avenue and Glen Drive to the Pacific Power & Light Company,for the sum of $131.26, be adopted as read, carried: Burns, Huza- and Huey voting; aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. T +iHEREuS, the City of Yakima owns a short electric poser line hereinafter described for which the city no longer has any need, and it is for the best interests of the city that the same be sold on the terms hereinafter stated; now, there- fore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, as follows : Tbat in consideration of the agreed purchase price in the sum of $131.26 to be paid to said city, the Mayor and the City Clerk of said city are hereby authorized and directed to execute <<nd deliver to Pacific Power and Light Company, a corporation, a bill of sale conveying the following personal property located in said City, to - Tf•Tit . No. 771, by the contractor; it was Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that said im- provement be accepted and. the City Engineer instructed to prepare an assessment roll for said .district, and the City Cleric to Five notice of hearing on said roll by publication as required by law, for Monday, January 3, 1955, at 10 A.M., carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll_ call. The City E'rigineer having- reported the completion of the Cleman Avenue Curb and Gutter district, L.I.D. ORDINANCE NO. B -1634, AN ORDINANCE amending, Section 41 of the Traffic Code, Ordinance No.. B -1526; prohibiting racing, speed trials, illegal cruising, nuisances, and unneces= sary noise in the operation of motor vehicles; prescribing penalties, and declaring an emergency. Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns that the City Clerk is hereby instructed to give notice to bidders for the construction of a strom drain along the east side of 16th Avenue South, beginning near the south line of Lenox Avenue and extending southerly a distance of 2,800 feet, more or less; said bids to be received on Monday, January 3, 1955, at 10 o'clock A..M., carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
