The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, November 29th, 1954 and adjourned meeting thereof, were approved as read. This being the time for the hearing on Resolution No. C -1173, providing for an enlarged local_ improvement to improve Gilbert Park located in 'The Uplands") by grading, seeding, setting out trees and shrubs, installing an irrigation system, and constructing a parking area, and a delegation of property oti%ners residing in the district appearing; in person and by written protest against the formation of a local improvement district, it was Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that this meeting be adjourned and additional time given to the protestors to procure further objections, if any, and. fixing Friday December 10th 1954., as the :late for filing said petitions, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. This being the time for the adjourned hearing on the assessment roll covering L.I.D. No. 783, providing _for the construction of curbs and gutters on Tah -kin Road, and it being; deemed advisable to confirm the assessment roll and repair the damage to said improvement as soon as weather permits; it was Ploved by Huey, seconded by Burns that Ordinance No. B -1625 confirming said assessment roll and every part thereof, be passed as read, ca2.ried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B- 1625, AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improv ment District No. 753 as created and established by Ordinance No. B -1559 of the Ordinances of the City of Yakima. Adams Subdivision, by constructing mains; fire hydrants, valves and other appurtenances for the purpose of supplying water foe domestic purposes, be adopted as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. C -1179, BE IT RESOLVED BY TH [,, CITY CO'.'fliiIS°}IOi'J OF THE CITY OF YI�KII�IA: That it is its intention to improve the following; property by construction of the necessary main, fire hydrants, valves, and other appurtenances for the purpose of supplying water for domestic-use. The district to be served by and assessed for the above describ• ed improvement is situated in Yakima_ County, flash ling ton, and described as follows, to- wit : Beginning at a point on the r ^Test line of the Southeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of the Southwest quarter of Section 30, Township 13 North, Range 19 E. W.M. , a dis- tance of 140 feet North of the North line" of Mead Avenue; thence South along said 'f,est line and the ,Test line of Lot 1 of Phoebe D. Adams Subdivision to a point 140 feet South of the South, line of Mead Avenue; thence Easterly arr.'s parallel t,v­ith Mead Avenue to the T, „Testerly line of the Union Pacific Railroad right -of -way; thence Northerly along said Westerly line to a point East of the point of beginning; thence I,)Iesterly to the point of beginning. k 1 I� 1 1 1 e P11 DECEMBER 61 1954 Said improvement to be constructed in -full accordance with the plans and specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer-and filed with the City Clerk., All persons who m-ay desire to object to said proposed improvement are hereby notified to appear and- present such objections, if any, at a meeting of the City.Commission, to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, at the hour of 10:00 o'clock a.m. on Monday the 27th day of December, 1954, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to the said improvement, or objections thereto, and for determining the method of payment therefor; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make; the aforesaid improvement. The cost of this improvement is to be paid for by special assesss ments to be levied against the property in the district, as provided-by law, and 8,s above described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date-fixed:hereing, all of the data and other information required by law to be by him submitted. BURNS Mayor Moved by Huza, seconded by Huey that Resolution No, C -1180 providing for the sum of $500.00 of the $2,000..00, Vnich was alloted to the street department in the 1955 budget for the purchase of a snow plow for said department, be used at this time for the pur- chase of -a materials spreader; be adopted as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. C -11801 VMEREAS, the duly adopted final 1955 budget of the City of Yakima contained an item of $2,000.00 for the purchase of a snow plow for the City Street Department; and it now appears that an unforseen emergency exists and that it will be necessary to use $500..00 thereof for the purchase of a materials spreader; now, therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY C01U1MISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: That the sum of $500.00 of the sum of $2,000.00 being an item in the 1955 budget of the Oi_ty of Yakima for the purchase of a snow plow for the City Street Department, is hereby transferred to and may be used for the purchase of a materials spreader for said City Street Department, leaving the sum of $1,500-00 for said Street Department snow plow for 1955• ATTEST: PEARL BENJAMIN City Clerk ADOPTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, this 6th day of December, 1954.
