The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, November 8th, 1954, were approved as read A petition signed by 100% of the property owners asking for annexation to the City of Yakima of the following described property, to vvit, "Tha t part of the north 8 acres of Lo 1 of Phoebe D. Adams Subdivision, etc. ,'1 was filed 1.,ri th the City Clerk and it was T,ioved by Huey, seconded by Huza that said petition be accepted, and the necessary procedure be taken and a hearing on said petition set for Monday, November 29th 1954, at 10 o'clock A.M, carried: Barns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. Moved by Burns, seconded by Huza that an extension of time for one year.'_beginni.ng. January 1, 1955 be granted to J. 0. White, Meat Inspector on the retirement system, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. Moved by Huza, seconded. by Huey that the Mayor be appointed to represent the City of Yakima at the American Municipal Association conference of Mayors at Philadelphia, Pa., in November 1954, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that the claim of Denzil Bohm and Margit Bohm for damage alleged to have been sustained in the sum of $5,008..75 by reason of stepping into a hole at the intersection of the sidewalk to Garfield School on Jerome Ave., is hereby rejecte carried: Burns, Huza and Hizey voting aye on roll call. An ordinance was i <nt-roduced, providing for the expenditure of funds not budgeted for the payment of a judgement recovered by Anna Blasick and husband in the sum of $4,781.95; same was read in full by the City Clerk and laid on the table for one week. An ordinance was introduced providing for the expenditure of fends not budgeted for partial payment for the acquisition of land for the City Water Department; said ordinanc was read in full and laid on the table for one week..
