HomeMy WebLinkAbout11/01/1954 Business Meeting010 NOVBEMBER 1, 1954 The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Burns and Commissioners Huza and Huey present on roil call. The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, October 18, 1954, were approved as read. This being the time for the delayed hearing on Resolution No. C -1166, providing for the construction of an irrigation system on 23rd Avenue South and a formal protest having been filed to exclude Lots 3 to 6 inclusive and Lots 8 to 14 inclusive of Young's Plat, unrecorded; Lots 2, 4 and 7 to 10 inclusive of Menjanker Subdivision; also Lots 15 to 21 inclusive, Subdivision of Lots 13 and 14 of Chase Hill Residence Tracts, and it being recommended by the City Engineer that said property be eliminated from said district; it was Moved bar Huey, seconded by Huza that Ordinance No. B -1615, eliminating the above de- scribed property, and creating L.I.D. No. 793, be passed as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -1615, AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of property in the City of Yakima, Washington, by the construction of an irrigation system, establishing a Local Improvement District, providing for the method of payment therefor, and creating a special fund. This being the time for the hearing on Resolution No. C -1168, providing for the construc- tion of curbs and gutters on 17th Avenue South from Nob Hill Blvd. to West Prasch Avenue and there being no objections in writing, or otherwise to said improvement, or any part thereof; it was Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that Ordinance No. B -1616, creating L.I.A No. 794, be passed as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE O. B -1616, AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of certain property by grading, ballasting, surfacing and constructing concrete curbs and gutter; establishing • local improvement district, providing for the method of payment therefor, and creating • special fund. This being the time for the hearing on the assessment roll covering, L.I..D. No. 777, Pro- viding for the construction of the Rice- Dibbert Domestic [.rater System, and there being no objections in wr.i_ting, or otherwise to said assessment roll, or any part thereof; it was,Moved by Huey, seconded. by Huza that Ordinance No. B -1617, confirming said assess- ment roll and every part thereof, be passed as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -1617, AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improv ment District No. 777 as created and. established by Ordinance No. B -1582 of the Ordin- ances of the City of Yakima. This being; the time for the hearing on the assessment roll, covering; L:I.D. No. 772, pro viding for the construction of the Hillacre Domestic Mater System, and there being no objections in writing, or otherwise to said assessment roll, or any part thereof; it was Moved by Huey seconded by Huza tl-,at Ordinance No. B- 1613, confirming said assessment roll and every part thereof be passed as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -1618, AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improve meat District No. 772 as created �.ind established by Ordinance No. B -1565 of the Ordin- ances of the City of Yakima. This being* the time for the hearing on the assessment roll covering L.I:D. No. 770, pro- viding for the construction of curbs and. ;utters on North 6th Street and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to said assessment roll, or any part thereof; it was Moved. by Huey, seconded by Huza that Ordinance No. B -1619, confirming said assessment roll and every part thereof, be passed as read; carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
