The minutes of the re-ular meeting of Monday, September 20th, 1954, were approved as read Moved by Huza, seconded by Burns that Ordinance No. 8-1598, fixing the time of delin- quency and prescribing the form of bond in L.I.D. No. 763, be passed as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE O. B- 159811 AN ORDINANCE fixing the time of delinquency of installments of assessments levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local Improvement District No. 763, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons attached for the payment of the unpaid portion thereof.. Moved by Huza, seconded by Burns that Ordinance No. B -1599, fixing the time of delinquenc, and prescribing the form of bond in L.I.D. No. 764, be passed as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. OR.DIN ,TCE NO. Moved. by Huey, seconded by Huza that this being the time for the hearing on Resolution No. 0-1159, providing for the construction of a sewer system on 44th Ave. North and other streets in the streets in the `jity of Yakima, more - particularly described in said resolu- tion, and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to said improvement or Carly part thereof; it is ordered that Ordinance No. B -1601, creating L.I.D. No. 789, be passed as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. CD ORDINANCE NO. B -16011 AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of certain property by cbnstructing, a pipe sewer with the necessary wye branches and manholes; establishing a Local Improvement District, providing; for the method of payment therefor, 0and creating a special fund. Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that this being the time for the hearing on Resolution No. C -1160, providing for the construction of a sidewalk 5 feet in width on the east side of 20th Avenue South from Bonnie Doon to Nob Hill Boulevard, and there being in- sufficient protest against said improvement or any part'.}thereof; it is ordered that Ordinance No. B -1602, creating; L.I.D. No. 790 be passed as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -1602, AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of property in the City of Yakima, z,lashin<,,ton, by construct-.ing a Porland cement�.-concrete sidewalk five feet in width; establishing a Local Improvement District, providing for the method of payment therefor and. creating a special fund. This being the time for the hearing on the petition heretofore filed for annexation of fractional Lot 1, of the Phoebe D. Adams Subdivision; said property being located on Mead Avenue 25 feet east of the west line of Voelker Avenue etc., and there being no object-:ions in writing or otherwise to said annexation proceedings, or any part thereof; it is ordered th;t Ordinance No. B -1603, annexing said property to the City of Yakima, be passed as read: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that Ordinance No. B -1604, providing; for the rezoning of T +restZrleVT Addition from Residence District "A" to residence .District 'IB ", be passed as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDIN-zNCE ?'JO. B -1604, AN ORDINANCE rezoning; certain property in Westview Addition from Residence ;district "All to Residence District T'B". Moved by Huza, seconded by Burns that Resolution No. C -1164, amending Resolution No. C -1143, relative to the building on the grounds of Fire Station No. 2, being used by Boy Scout Troop No. 6, be adopted as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. C -1164, WHEREAS, the City Commission heretofore adopted Resolution No. C -1143 permitting construct-.ion of a buildin- at the rear of Fire Station No. 2 located on South Seventh Avenue, upon certain terms and conditions therein stated, and subsequent- ly objection has been raised pith reference to the indefinite period of authorized use of said building, and it is no,,, desired to further clarify the same; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THTa, C I`1Y COMA' ISSION OF THE CITY OF Y AKINiA: That the City of Yakima does hereby consent that the said build- ing, after construction thereof may be used by the Boy Scout Troop sponsored by the Yakima Fire Department, and for othercappropri.ate public purposes, for a period of (20) twenty years from the date of this resolution, provided that during said period Boy Scout Troop No. 6 or other Boy Scout Troop remains active and sponsored by the Yakima Fire Department, and provided that the'users of said building shall at their own expense keep up and maintain the same and shall pay all utilities and similar service charges incurred or used in connection therewith; and provided further that at the expiration of said l H� 1 September-274-195-4 period, if the same is not then needed forifire department purposes or other purposes of said City, the right to use the same for the purposes stated in said former resolution may be renewed and extended for an additional period of ten (10) years thereafter. Vaughn t,,,ith reference to salvaging materials from the city dump grounds, and renewing a similar contract with Robert Knowles for a period of one year beginning September 20th, 1954 and ending on September 20th., 1955, be adopted as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. C- 11.65, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: That all agreements heretofore made -��dth reference to salvaging materials from the city dump, are hereby cancelled and terminated: and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute agreement with Robert Knowles with reference thereto for a period commencing September 20, 1954, for a term of one year, copy of said agreement beinrr attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein. BURNS City Clerk Mayor This being the time for receiving bids on i +test Prasch Avenue for the construction of curbs and gutters, in L.I.D. No. 786, the following were received! G. G. Teskey De Blasio Bros. 1,392.25 1,260.90 The bid of De Blasio Bros., in the sum of $1,260.90, being the lowest and best bid, was accepted. Mokred by Huey, seconded by Burns that said bid be accepted and the Mayor and City Clerk instructed to execute a contract on behalf -of the City of Yakima, for doing .said work, upon the filing of the proper bond as required by law, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. This being the time for receiving bids for the construction of curbs-and gutters on 9th Avenue South L.I.U. No. 785, the following were received: G. G. Teskey De Blasio Bros. X3,967.45 3,4$5.40 The bid of De Blasio Bros., in the sum of $3,485.40, being the lowest and best bid, was accepted. M6Vea by Huey, seconded by Burns, that said bid be accepted and the" Mayor and City Clerk instructed to execute a contract on behalf of the City of Yakima for doing said work upon receipt of the proper bond as required by law, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. The City Engineer having reported the completion of the Douglas Drive Sewer district, L. I. D. No. 773, by the contractor, it was Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that said project be accepted and the City Engineer authorized to prepare an assessment roll for said district, and the City Clerk authorized to give notice of hearing on said roll by. publication, as required by law, for Monday, the 18th day of October 1954, at the hour of 10 o'clock A. M., carried= Berns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. Moved by Huza, seconded by Huey that the claim of Adam Keller, for and on behalf of his son, Edward Keller, a minor, fo-r. damages in the slim of $1,060.00, alleged to have been sustained by reason of falling into a trench for the laying, of water pipe on North lst Street,is hereby rejected, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
