The City Commission met in re ular session, Mayor Burns and Commissioners Huza and Huey
present on roll. call.
The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, September 7th, 1954, and adjourned meeting
thereof, %rere:,approved-,as read.
This being the time for the postponed decision on the hearing on Resolution .No. C -1154,
providing for the construction of curbs and gutters on 9th Avenue North from Willow St.
to Fruitvale Boulevard and the report of the City Engineer showing a protest of 39.95 %,
it was Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns that Ordinance No. B -1593, creating L.I.D. No.
785 be passed as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B =15931 AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of certain property by
grading, ballasting, surfacing and constructing concrete curbs and :,utters; establishing
• Local Improvement District, providing for the method of payment therefor, and creating
• special fund.
This being the time for the hearing on Resolution No.0 -1155, providing for the construc-
tion of curbs and gutters on Prasch Avenue from 7th Avenue South to 8th Avenue South and
there being insufficient protest against said improvement or any part thereof, it was
Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that Ordinance No. B -1:594 creating L.I.D. No. 786, be
passed as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO.. B -1594, AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of certain property by

to 8th Avenue South, L.T. D. No. 786; said bids to be
of September 1954, at 10 otclock A.M.., carried: Burns,
call.
Moved by Burns, seconded by Huey that Ordinance No. B -1595 amending Section 22 of
Ordinance No. A -236 and amending Section 1 of Ordinance No. B- 1033,, in order to render
it unlawful to maintain -or permit any tree or; shrubs to damage any water'pipe line'or
sewer lines and requiring the removal of such trees etc., be.passed as read, carried:
Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO.. B -1595, AN ORDINANCE amending section 22 of the Penal Code, Ordinance No.
A -236 and amending section 1 of Ordinance No. B -1033, so as to render it unlawful to
maintain or permit any tree or shrub so as to damage a water pipe line or sewer line,
and relating to and requiring the removal of such tree, trees,-land shrubs, providing for
recovery of costs of removal thereof by the City, creating a lien upon property affected,
and declaring an emergency.
Moved by Burns, seconded by Huey that we do now adjourn, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey
voting aye on roll call.
