The City Commission i -riet in regular session, Mayor Burns and Commissioner Huey present
on roll call. Commissioner Huza absent.
The minutes of the remular meeting of Monday August 23, 1954, and adjourned meetir,c there
of, were approved as read.
This being the time for receiving; bids for the construction of curbs and ;utters on 30th
Avenue North from Summitview Avenue to the Naches and Cowiche Canal, L. I. D. No. 782,
the followin; were received:

Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns that Resolution No. C -1156, being a resolution of inten-
tion to improve the alley in Block 55, also the east -west alley and the unimproved por-
tion of the north -south alley in Block 251, by grading and paving the same with asphaltic
concrete, be adopted as read, carried: Burns and Huey voting aye on roll call. Huza
absent.
RESOLUTION NO. C -11561 BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CI`T'Y COM1VIISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
That it is its intention to improve the alley in Block 55, Yakima;
also the east -west alley and the unimproved portion of the north-south alley in Block
251, Yakima, by grading and paving with asphaltic concrete placed on a crushed rock base;
all of said improvements to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and specifi-
cations to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk.
The district to be served by and assessed for the above described
improvement will include the following, to-wit:
Lots 1 to 16 inclusive, of Block 55, Yakima; also Lots 1 to
9 inclusive, and Lots 14; 15, and 16 of Block 251, Yakima,
according to the recorded plat thereof on file in the office
of the Auditor of Yakima County, 1ashington.
All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement
are hereby notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at a meeting of the
City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima
County, Washington, at the hour of 10 otclock a.m., on Monday, the 20th day of September,
1954; which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to
said proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the method of pay-
ment for said improvement; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of
said hearing; and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement.
The costs and expenses of said improvement, including the en -ineez
i.ng, inspection, advertising, publication of notices and all other expenses incident
thereto, shall be levied and assessed against the property legally and properly assess-
able therefor as provided by law and as above described; and the City Engineer is here-
by directed to submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date fixer, herein for
said hearing, all of the data and other information required by law to be bylim sub-
mitted.

in recently annexed portions of the city, be adopted as read, carried: Burns and Huey
voting aye: on roll. call. Huza absent.
RESOLUTION NO. C -1157, A RESOLUTION relating to dog license fees payable in recently
annexed portions of the City of Yakima.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
That the amount of the annual dog license fee payable by a
resident of a portion of the City of Yakima annexed to said City subsequent to April 1st
of any year, shall for such year be reduced to one-half of the amount of such regular
dog license fee.

property more particularly described in said resolution, be adopted-as read, carried:

RESOLUTION NO. C -11581 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
That it is its intention'to improve the following property by
constructing the necessary main, fire hydrants, valves and other appurtenances for the
purpose of supplying water for domestic use.
The district to be served by and assessed for the above- describE�d
improvement is situated in Yakima County, Washington, and described as follows, to -wit:
Beginning at a point on the north line of Nob Hill Boulevard
midway between 33rd Avenue South and 34th Avenue South; thence
northerly along a line midway between said Avenues to the north
line of the East half, of the Southeast quarter, of the North-
east quarter, of Section 27, Township 13 North, Range 18, E.W.M.;
thence easterly along said north line to a point midway between
32nd avenue South and 33rd Avenue South; thence-southerly along
a line midway between said Avenues to the north line of Nob Hill
Boulevard; thence westerly along said,north line to the point of
beginning.
Said improvement to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and specifications
to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk.
All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement
are hereby notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at a meeting of the
City Commission, to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima
County, Washington, at the hour of 10:oo o'clock A.M. on Monday the 20th day of September

intention to make the aforesaid improvement.
The cost of this improvement is to be paid for by special assess-
ments to be levied against the property in the district, as provided by law, and as above
described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission at
-or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and other information
required by law to be by him submitted.
