The Minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, August 9th, 1954, and adjourned meetings thereof, were approved as read. Movers by Huey, seconded by Huza that this being the time for the hearing on Resolution No. C -114$, providing.for. the construction of curbs and gutters on Tah -kin Road, and there being no objections in writing, or otherwise, to said improvement, or any part , thereof, it is ordered that Ordinance No. B01589, creating L.I.D.No. 783, be passed as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -1589, AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of certain property by grading, ballasting, surfacing and constructing concrete curbs and gutters; establishing • Local Improvement District, providing for the method of payment therefor, and creating • special fund. Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza, that the City Engineer having reported the completion of the Clinton Way domestic water system by the contractor; said work is hereby.accepted; and the City Engineer is hereby instructed to prepare an assessment roll for said dis- trict and the City Clerk authorized to give notice of hearing on said roll for Tuesday, the 7th day of September, 1954, at 10 A.M:, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. Moved by Huza, seconded by Huey, that the City Clerk is hereby instructed to give notice to bidders for the constr_ict:.ion of curbs and gutters on Tah: -kin Road; said bids to be received on Monday, the 30th day of August 1954, at 10 o'clock A.M.,carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that Resolution No. C- 1154, being a Resolution of Intention to improve 9th Avenue North from Willow Street to Fruitvale Blvd. by grading ballasting, surfacinn, and constructing concrete curbs and gutters, be adopted as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. C -1154, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY CONIA�IISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: That it is its intention to improve Ninth Avenue North from Willow Street to Fruitvale Boulevard by grading, ballasting, surfacing and constructing concrete curbs and gutters; all of said improvements to be constructed in full accordant( with the plans and specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk. The district to be served by and assessed for the above- describ improvement is situated in Yakima County, Washington, and described as follows, to -wit: Lots 1 to 5, "Block 1; lots 1 to 5, Block 2, Lots 1 to 5, Block 5, and Lots 1 to 5, Block 6, all in Fruitvale Addition to the City of Yakima according to the recorded plat thereof on file in the office of the Auditor of said Yakima County. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improve- ment are hereby notified to appear and present such objections, if any, at a meeting of the City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, at the hour of 10 o'clock a.m. on Tuesday the 7th day of September, 1954; which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the method of payment for said improvement; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make "the aforesaid improvement; All costs and expenses in connection with the construction of said improvement, including the engineering, inspection_, advertising, publication of notices and all other expenses incident thereto, shall be borne by and assessed against all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor as provided by law and as above described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commis- sion at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and other information required by law to be by dim submitted.
