The City Commission _met in regular session, Mayor Burns and Commissioners Huza and Huey
present on roll call.
The minutes of the _regular meeting of Mond -ay, July 12th, 1950 were approved as read,
carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting; aye on -roll call. _
Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that this being the time for the hearing on Resolution
No. C -1137. providing for the construction of a Domestic ?dater ,System on Lots 1 to 16,
?hock 2, Shannon's Homes Addition, and there being; no objections in writing or otherwise
to said improvement, or any part thereof; it is ordered that Ordinance No. B -1575, creat-
ing a Local Improvement District, be passed as .read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey
voting aye on roll call.

of Yakima, j�:jashington, by the construction of a domestic water system, establishing a
loc:�_1_ improvement district, providing for the method of payment therefore, and creating
a special fund.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that the City Engineer having; reported the completion of
the alley paving between South 6th Street and South 7th Street from fast Yakima Avenue
to Nast Chestnut Street, L.I.D. No. 763, by the contractor, said vaork is hereby accepted,
and the City Engineer instructed to prepare an assessment roll for said district, and
the City Clerk authorized to give notice of hearing on said roll for Monday the 9th day
of August 1950, at 10 o'clock A.TiI., carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting ave on roll call

the alley paving in Block 2, Elliott Heights Addition, in L.I.D. No. 767, said �-,ro.rk is
hereby accepted., and the city Engineer instructed to prepare an assessment -roll for said

Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that the claim of Marie S. Dickens, for damages in the
sum of 8772.50, alleged to have been sustained by reason of tripping on a portion of
sidewalk on the south side of West Yakima Aventie near the east side of 1106 West Yakima
Avenue is hereby .rejected, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Burns, seconded by Huza that Ordinance No. B -1576 relating to intoxicating
liquors; providing for the raising of revenues; providing for the licensing of all
premises holding retail _licenses for the sale thereof which provide or allow music,
d.anci_nr, or entertainment; providing for the revocation of such licenses; providing; for
penalties for the violation thereof and repealing Ordinance No. B -236 and declaring
an emergency, be passed as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
ORDINIAiNCE NO. B -15761 AN ORDINANCE relating to intoxicating liquors; providing for the
raisin,, of .revenues; providing for the licensing of all premises holding; retail licenses
for the sale thereof which provide or allow music, dancing, or entertainment; providing
for the revocation of such licenses; providing penalties for the violation hereof; re-
pealing Ordinance No. B -236; and declaring an emergency..
Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that Resolution No. C- 111;.0, being a resolution of inten-
tion to improve Lots 1 to 16, of Rice- Dibbert Addition by constructing a domestic water
system, be adopted as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
RESOL?JTIONJ NO. C -1100, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
That it is its intention to improve the following property by
constructing the necessary main, fire hydrants, valves. and other appurtenances for the
purpose of supplying water for domestic use.
The district to be served by and assessed for the above- describ-
ed improvement is situate in Yakima County, I ^Jash _ngton, and described as follows, to -wit:
Lots 1 to 16 inclusive, of Rice- Dibbert Addition to. the
City of Yakima, according to the recorded plat thereof.
Said improvement to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and specifications
to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk.
All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improve -
ment are hereby notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at a meeting of
the City Commission, to-be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima,
Yakima County, i`dashington, at the hour of 10-00 o'clock a.m. , , on Monday the 9th day of
August, 1950, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all_ matters re-
lating to the said improvement, or objections thereto, and for determining the method
of payment therefor; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said
hearing, and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement.
The cost of this improvement is to be paid for by special assess-
ments to be .levied against the property in the district, as provided by law, and as
above described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City
Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and
other information required by law to be by him submitted.

That it is its intention to improve the alley in Block 252, Yakimz
and. the north and south alley in Block 290,,Kerts Addition and Kerts Second Addition
to Yakima, by grading and paving with asphaltic concrete placed on a crushed rock base;
all of. said improvements to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and specifi-
cations to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk.
The district to be served by and assessed for the above described
improvement will include the .following, to -wit:
Lots 1 to 16 inclusive of Block 252, Plat of Yakima, and Lots
7 to 16 inclusive of Block 290, Ker's Addition and Ker's Second
Addition to Yakima, according to the recorded plat thereof on
file in the office of the Auditor of Yakima County, Washington.
All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement
are hereby notified to appear and present such objection, if any, at a meeting of the
City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima
County, Washington, at the hour of 10 o'clock a.m., on Monday, the 9th day of August,
1954; which time. and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to
said proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the method of pay-
ment for said improvement; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of
said hearing and of the intentionto make the aforesaid improvement.
The costs and expenses of said improvement, including the engin-
eering, inspection, advertising, publication of notices and all other expenses incident
thereto, shall be levied and assessed against the property legally and properly assess-
able therefor as provided by law and as above described; and the City Engineer is here-
by directed to submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for
said hearing, all of the data and other information _required by law to be by him submitt-
ed.

tion to improve 30th Avenue North from Summitview Avenue to the Naches and Cowiche Canal
by constructing curbs and gutters, be adopted as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey
voting aye on roll call.
RESOLUTION NO. C -1146, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COMMISSION OF TH' CITY OF YAKIMA:
That it is its intention to improve 30th Avenue North from
Summitview Avenue to the Naches and Cowiche Canal by grading, ballasting, surfacing and
constructing concrete curbs and gutters; also to improve the 20 foot right of way adja-
cent to the Naches and 6owiche Canal from Cleman Avenue to 30th Avenue North by grading,
ballasting and surfacing; all of said improvements to be constructed in full accordance
with the plans and specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the
City Clerk.
The district to be served by and assessed for the above- described
improvement is situate in Yakima County, Washington, and described as follows, to -wit:
Beginning at a. point on the north line of Summitview Avenue
112 feet west of the west line of 30th Avenue North; thence
northerly and parallel, with 30th Ave North a distance of 764
feet; thence east to the Naches and Cowiche Canal; thence
easterly along; said canal to Cleman Avenue; thence southerly
along Cleman Avenue to the north line of Summitview Avenue;
thence westerly along said north line to the point of begining.
All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement
are hereby notified to appear acid present such objections, if any, at a meeting of the
City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City bf Yakima, Yakima
County, Washington, at the hour of 10 o'clock a.m. on Monday the 9th day of Augu -st, 1954;
which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said
proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the method of payment
for said improvement; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said
hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement.

City Clerk to execute a lease on behalf of the City of Yakima, with Ralph Perry and wife
and John B. Rua and wife, for property recently purchased from them by the City of Yakima
at an agreed price of $40.00 per month for an indefinite period, be adopted as read,
carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
RESOLUTION NO. C -11471 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute
and enter into a lease with JOHN B. RUA, and wife, as lessees and a lease with RALPH
PERRY and wife as` lessees, of the property recently purchased by said City from them

respectively for the enlargement of the Yakima Municipal Airport for an agreed rental of
:jt,b.0.00 per month as to each of said leases; and the same to be in such form as may be
approved by the City Attorney and for an indefinite period subject to termination at the
option of either party on thirty days written notice.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are-hereby
authorized to execute similar. leases +A�ith any other persons who have sold their property
to said Citv for the enlar. -ement of the Yakima Municipal airport upon the said. terms and
for an indefinite period subject to termination as hereinabove stated and for such rental
as may be agreed upon in the discretion of the Mayor. .
