MONDAY, APRIL 5th 1954, 10 :00 otclock A.M.
The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Burns and Commissioners Huza and Huey
present on roll call.
The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, Marcy 29th 1954, were approved as read.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza, that this being the time for the hearing on the vacation
proceedings of North 7th Street between "I" Street and 11K11 Street, and East "K'r' Street
from North 7th Street to the nearest alley west thereof, and there being no objections in
writing or otherwise to said vacation, or any part thereof; It is ordered that upon the
filing of a grant of easement from the Cascade Lumber Company of the South 501 of Lot 2",
Cascade Addition to North Yakima, Washington, (now Yakima and the"west 201 of Lots 2 to
15 inclusive of Block 1., Cascade Addition, to the City of Yakima, that the ordinance
vacating the property hereinabove described be passed, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey
voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Burns, seconded by Huza, that Resolution No. C -1115, authorizing the City Comm-
issioners to enter an agreement with the Yakima County Rural Library District for the
operation of a Regional Library for the period from the date of the execution of said
agreement to February 28th 1957, be adopted as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting
aye on roll call.
RESOLUTION NO. C -1115, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
That the City of Yakima shall enter into an agreement with the Yakima County Rural
Library District for -the operation of a Regional Library for the period from this date
until February 28, 1957 and' thereafter until terminated by ninety (90) day written notice;
and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute said agreement
in the form which has heretofore been duly agreed upon, a copy thereof being attached to
this Resolution.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, this 5th day of April, 1954.

1954, at 2 :00 otclocl P.M., carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
ADJOUR14ED MEETING, WEDNESDAY APRIL 7th, 1954, 2 :00 otclock P.M.
The City Commission met pursuant to adjournment, Mayor Burns and Commissioners Huza and
Huey present on roll call.
Moved by Huza, seconded by Huey, that pursuant to the passage of Resolution No. C- 1115,
adopted by the City Commission on Monday, April 5th authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk
to enter into a contract with the Yakima County Rural Library District for the operation
of a Regional Library from the date hereof to February 28th, 1957, be consumated as
provided by said resolution, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Burns, seconded by Huza, that we do now adjourn, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey
voting aye on roll call.
