IThe City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Burns and Commissioners Huza and Huey present on roll call. The minutes of the regular meeting of Tuesday, February 23rd 1954, were approved.as read. Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that this being the time for the hearing on the assess- ment roll covering L.I.D. No. 76$, providing for the covering of the Old Union Ditch on, Fair Avenue, and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to said assessment roll or any part thereof; It. is ordered that Ordinance No. 8-1544, confirming said assessment roll and every part thereof, be passed as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B= -1544, AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improve- ment District No. 76$ as created and established by Ordinance No. B =1520 of the Ordinances of the City of Yakima. Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that this being the time for the hearing on the vacat- ion of the North one foot of Lots 11B11-and Ttc_TT, of Bedkerts Second Addition to Yakima, and there being no objections in writi-ng or otherwise to said vacation proceedings, or any part thereof, It is ordered that Ordinance No. B =1545, vacating said above described property and every part thereof, be passed as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. RICHTER Treasurer Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza, that Resolution No. C -1106, authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute a deed conveying to the Metropolitan Park District the property more particularly described in said resolution, and further directing and authorizing said Mayor and City Clerk to execute and deliver a five -year lease with said Park Board for property set forth in said resolution for rental purposes for public purposes without payment therefor, be adopted as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. C -11062 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION: That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized., empowered and direct -ed to execute and deliver a deed con- veying to the Metropolitan Park District of Yakima, a municipal corporation, the following described property situated in Yakima County, Washington. The East 300 feet of the South 396 feet of the Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 20, Township 13 North', Range 19, E.W.M., EXCEPT the South 30 feet for street. ALSO, the West 475 feet of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 20, Township 13 North, Range 19, E.W.M., EXCEPT the South 30 feet for street, in the form heretofore mutually agreed upon,.a copy thereof being attached hereto. WHEREAS-, a Petition has been filed with the City Commission of the City of Yakima, a municipal corporation, praying for the vacation of a portion of a street described as follows; North Seventh Street between "I" and "K" Streets and East "Kt' Street from North. Seventh Street to the nearest alley west thereof._ NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: That said Petition shall be brought on for hearing and determination on Monday, the 5th day of April, 1954, at the hour of 10:00 o'clock in the forenoon,on said day at the office of the City Commission of the City of Yakima, at the City Hall in Yakima County, Washington, or as soon thereafter as the same may be heard, and that notice of such hearing be given as provided by law.
