The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Burns and Commissioners Huza and Huey present on roll call. The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, February 8th, 1954 were approved as read. Moved by Huza, seconded by Burns, that this being the time for receiving bids for the city printing for the ensuing year, the bid of the Republic Publishing Co. in the sum of $1.00 per column inch being the only bid received, it is ordered that said bid be accep- ted, and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to enter into a contract for said printing on behalf of the City of Yakima, carried:- Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. Moved by'Huey, seconded by Huza, that this being the time for the hearing on the assess- ment roll in L.I.D. No. 765, providing for the Old Power House Road sewer district, and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to said assessment roll,'or any part thereof; It is ordered that Ordinance No. B -1536, confirming said assessment roll and every part thereof, be passed as aread, carried:. Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -1536, AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improve- ment District No. 765 as created and established by Ordinance.No. B -1499 of the Ordin- ances of the City of Yakima. Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza, that this being the time for the hearing on the assess- ment -roll in L.I.D. No. 766, providing for the North First Street Sewer District, and there being insufficient protest against said assessment roll, or any part thereof';. It is ordered that Ordinance No. B* -1537, confirming said assessment roll and every part thereof, be passed as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -1537, AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improve- ment District No. 766 as created and established by Ordinance No. B =150$ of the Ordinance of the City of Yakima. Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza, that Ordinance No. B -153$1 fixing the time of delinquent and prescribing the form of bond in L.I.C: No. 758, providing for the Park Lane Irrig- ation District, be passed as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call'; r ORDINANCE NO. B -15381 AN ORDINANCE fixing the time of delinquency of installments of assessments levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local Improvement District No. 758, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons attached for the payment of the unpaid portion thereof. Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza, that Ordinance No. B'-1539, fixing the time of delinquent; and prescribing the form of bond in L.I'.D. No. 753, providing for the Swan Avenue Domestic Water District, be passed as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -1539, AN ORDINANCE fixing the time of delinquency of installments of assessments levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local Improvement District No. 753, and providing for the issueance of bonds with coupons attached for the payment of the unpaid portion thereof. Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza, that the Yakima Cascade Fuel Co. be awarded the contract on PS300,'in the sum of 2.525 per barrell; Shell oil Co. on Kerosene, .1900 per gallon and on solvent, .214 per gallon; Clark Distributing Co., .132 on Diesel fuel., .2368 on Ethyl gas, .125 on Gear Oils, .135 on Chassis Lube., .15 on wheel bearing grease and.68 on Diesel Oil, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. Moved by Huza, seconded by Huey, that the bid of McLean Electric Co. for 450 PR -7 Flash- light lamps @x$12.24; 120 PH /22 Photoflash lamps @ 15.04; 1968 D -99 Ever -ready heavy duty flashlight batteries @ 134 66; above amounts on bid of estimated $600.00 purchases, except broken packages of less that $15.00 list value, 31% discount, be accepted, Carried Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. This being the time for receiving bids on the Lenox Avenue Overpass, the following were received: State of Washington, par, plus accrued interest, Int. rate 2.50%. Pacific N.W. Corp. West Side Natntt Bank, Pacific Natntl Bank, First Natntl. Bank of Portland and Bramhill & Stein. Par, plus $42.50,2.20 Int. rate. Effective rate 2.1991 %. Halsey- Stuart Co., Inc. and National Bank of Commerce; Par. plus $762.20, Int. rate on Bonds Nos. 1956 to 1972, incl., 2.25 %. Int. rate on Bonds 1973 to 1974, incl., 2.5 %. Effective rate, 2.29001 %. Foster & Marshall, Badgley, Frederick, Rogers and Morford. Par, plus $600.00 Int. rate on Bonds 1956 to 1970, 2 %, Int. rate on Bonds 1971 to 1974, 241%: Effective rate, 2.0$995%• Seattle First National Bank and Blyth, Inc., Par, plus x$$5.00. Interest rate on bonds 1956 to 1964,,2%, Interest rate on Bonds 1965 to 1974, 24 %. Effective rate 2.1954 %. Said bids were taken under advisement until 1:30 P.M. today. 1:30 P.M., Moved by Huza, seconded by Burns, that the bid of Foster & Marshall, Badgley, Frederick, Rogers and Morford in the sum of Par, plus $$600.00; Interest rate on Bonds 1956 to 1970, 2 %, and on Bonds 1971 to 1974, inclusive at 2' %, or an effective rate of 2.08995% be accepted as the lowest and best bid, said acceptance subject to the approval of the legality of said bond issue, carried: Burn, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll can Moved by Burns, seconded by Huza, that we do now adjourn to meet Tuesday, February 16th 1954, at 10 :00 otclock A.M., carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
