MONDAY, DECEMBER 28th, 1953, 10 :00 o'clock a.m.
The City Commission met in regular session, Commissioners Huza and Huey present on roll
call, Mayor Burns absent.
The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, December 21st 1953 were approved.as read.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza, that this being the time for the hearing on the assess -
ment,roll in L.I.D. No. 759, providing for the improvement of 35th Avenue South curb, and
gutter district,•and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to said assessment
roll or any part thereof; It is ordered that Ordinance No..B1524, confirming said asses;
ment roll and every part thereof,.be passed as read, carried:. Huza and Huey voting aye
on roll call, Mayor Burns absent.
ORDINANCE-NO. B =15249 AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improve-
ment District No. 759 as created and established by Ordinance No. 3-1475 of the Ordinance;
of the City of Yakima.
.Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza, that this being the time for the hearing on the assess-
ment roll covering L.I.D. No. 761, providing for the paving of alleys in Block 4, Hillcre:
Addition and Block 2, Tieton Terrace, and there being insufficient protest against said
assessment roll, or any part thereof; It is ordered that Ordinance No. 9=1525, confir-
ming said assessment roll and every part thereof, be passed as read, carried: Huza, and
Huey voting aye on roll call, Mayor Burns absent.
ORDINANCE NO. B =15252 AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improve-
ment District No. 761 as created and established by Ordinance No. 5=1484 of the Ordinance!
of the City of Yakima.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza, that the City Engineer having reported the completion
of the Snowmountain Road Curb -and Gutter District L.I..D.,No. 762, by the contractor;
said work is hereby accepted and the City Engineer instructed to prepare'an assessment
roll for said district, and the city clerk authorized to give notice of hearing on said
roll for Monday, the 18th day of January 1954, at 10:00 o'clock A.M., carried: Huza and
Huey voting aye on roll call, Mayor Burns absent.
Due to the absence of Mayor Burns, the ordinance relating to the $400,00.00 Bond issue
for the Lenox Overpass, which was introduced on Monday, December 21st, 1953, and read in
full by the City Clerk, is hereby continued to Monday, January 4th 1954 at 10 :00 o'clock
A.M., carried: Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call, Mayor Burns absent.
Moved by Huza, seconded'by Huey, that we do now adjourn to meet Thursday', December 31st,
1953, at 2 :00 o'clock P.M., carried Huza and Huey voting.aye on roll call, Mayor Burns
absent.
ADJOURNED MEETING, THURSDAY, DECEMBER 31st, 1953, 21P.M.
The City Commission met pursuant to adjournment, Mayor Burns and Commissioners Huza and
Huey present on roll call.
Moved by Huey,.seconded by Huza, that Ordinance No. F -1526, providing for a new traffic
code, and repealing all other ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict thereof,
and declaring an emergency, be passed as read, carried: Burns, Huza and,Huey voting aye
on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -15269 AN ORDINANCE relating to and regulating traffic, travel and trans-
portation and their incidents upon the streets and other ways open to the public; pre-
scribing the powers and duties of officers and others in relation thereto; defining
offenses; providing penalties, and repealing Ordinance No: 8-131 and all amendments there -
of and all other ordinances in so far as they are in conflict therewith, and declaring
an emergency.
Moved by Huza, seconded by Burns, that Resolution No. C -1099, authorizing the Mayor
and the City Clerk to execute an agreement for and on behalf of the City of Yakima, with
Ralph R. Richardson and wife, for the sale of certain hangars and personal property
situated at the Yakima Municipal Airport, more particularly described in'said agreement
attached hereto, be adopted as read, carried Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll
call.
RESOLUTION NO. C -1099, WHEREAS, RALPH R. RICHARDSON and VIRGINIA S. RICHARDSON, husband
and wife, second parties, are desirous of entering into an ag'r'eement with the City of
Yakima, first party, for the sale of certain hangars and personal property situated at
the Yakima Municipal Airport, and it is considered for the best interests of the City
of Yakima to enter into an agreement with said second parties;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION:
That it is for the best interests of the City of Yakima thatn an agreement with
Ralph R. Richardson and Virginia S. Richardson, husband and wife, for the sale by said
City of certain hangars and personal property situated at the Yakima Municipal Airport,
more fully described in said agreement, be executed, in the form heretofore mutually
agreed upon, a copy thereof being attached hereto.
The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized, empowered and directed to execute said
agreement for and on behalf of the City of Yakima.
ADOPTED BY.THE CITY COMMISSION this 31st day of December, 1953.

Moved by Huza, seconded by Burns, that the City Clerk is authorized and directed to give
notice to bidders by publication as required by law, for the printing of the traffice
code, being'Ordinance No. B' -1526; passed and approved by the City Commission on the
31st day of December 1953; said bids to be received on Thursday, January 7th 1954, at
the hour of 10r00 orclock A.M. Bidders are.requested to submit two bids on said printing

one for 5,000 copies and one for 10,000. The City Clerk is further-authorized and
directed that upon the.acceptance of said bid, a warrant shall be issued on the Current
Expense fund of said city to the successful bidder from the 1953 budget, but shall be
retained by the said City until such work has been fully completed and accepted by the
City Commission, carried. Burns, Huza and'Huey voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that-we do now adjourn, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey
voting aye on roll call.
