The City Commission -met in regular session, Mayor Burns and Commissioners Huza and Huey present on roll call. The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, December 14th and adjourned meeting thereof were approved as read. Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza, that this being the time for the hearing on the assess- ment roll in L.I.D. No. 753, providing for the Domestic Water System in the Swan Avenue District, and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to said assessment roll,' or any-part thereof; It is ordered that Ordinance No: B -15212 confirming said assessment roll and every part thereof be passed as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. Bm15211 AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improve- ment District No. 753 as created and established by Ordinance No. &- -1453 of the Ordinances of the City of Yakima. Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza, that this being the time for the hearing on the assess- ment roll in L.I.D. No. 758, providing for the Park Lane Irrigation district, and there being no objections in writing, or otherwise to said assessment roll, or any part thereof; It is ordered that Ordinance No. 9 -1522, confirming said assessment roll, and every part thereof, be passed as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE N0. B -15229 AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improve- ment District No. 758 as created and established by Ordinance No. Ba -1474 of the Ordinances of the City of Yakima. Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that Ordinance No. B -1523, relating to public health and sanitation; providing for and regulating the collection and disposal of garbage, refus and dead animals; regulating the operation of the Dump grounds; repealing Ordinance No. 5=1511, and all other ordinances in conflict therewith, be passed as read,.carried: Burns Huza and Huey voting aye -on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -1523, AN ORDINANCE relating to public health and sanitation; providing for and regulating the collection and disposal of garbage, refuse and dead animals in the City of Yakima; regulating the operation of the City Dump and collection service; creating a special fund and providing for the payment of monies.into said fund; providing penalties for the violation hereof; and repealing Ordinance No. 5 -1511 and.all other ordinances. and parts of ordinances in conflict `.;herewith. An ordinance providing for the borrowing -of.money in the sum of $400,000.00 by the City of Yakima and issuing its general,. negotiable, serial interest - bearing coupon bonds therefor; for the purpose of construction of the Lenox Avenue Overpass, and for the'pay- ment of the various incidental expenses pertaining thereto; prescribing the form of said bonds, and creating a fund to redeem said bonds and interest, and providing for the con- struction of said.Lenox Avenue Overpass, and declaring an emergency, was introduced and read in full by the City Clerk; It was moved by Huza, seconded by Burns, that said ordinance be laid on the table for one week, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. Moved by Huey, seconded by.Huza, that. - Resolution No. C -1098, providing for the exercise of.the option of Nelson L. Norton and wife, for property at the airport, in the sum of $250.00, the description of said property being more particurly described and set forth in said resolution, be adopted as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. C- 109,$9 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: 1. That the City of Yakima shall forthwith exercise its option from Nelson L. Norton and Beatrice A. Norton, husband and wife, dated November 1$, 1953, for the pur- chase of the following described real estate situate in Yakima, County, Washington, to -wit The West half of the following legally described property: Beginning at the Southwest corner of the Northeast quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 34, Township 13 North,- Range 18 E.W.M.; thence North 89 054* East 662 feet; thence'North 0 0131 East 66.5.7 feet to the true point of beginning; thence North -$905V Ea8t 330 feet; thence South 00131 West 1$5 feet; thence North 70 031 West 350.6 feet.; thence North 0 °131 East 60 feet, more or less, to the true point of-beg=inning,'approxi.= mately .34 acres, together with all water rights and other appurtenances thereunto belonging, for the sum of $250.00; and the appropriate City officials are hereb authorized and directed to pay said purchase price 'from "::the funds derived from the 176,000.00 Yakima Municipal Airport Improvement bond issue and to do any and all things necessary or proper for completing said purchase transaction.
