The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, December 7th, 1953 were approved as read.. Mo•:%ed by Huey, seconded by Huza, that this. being the time for the hearing on the assess- ment roll in L.I.D. No. 757, providing for the Fair Avenue Irrigation System, and there being no protests in writing or otherwise to said improvement or.any part thereof, It is ordered that Ordinanance No. B -1519, confirming said assessment roll and every part thereof, be passed as read,.carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.: ORDINANCE NO. B -1519, AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improve. ment District No. 757 as created and established by Ordinance No. B -1469 of the Ordinance: of the City of Yakima. Moved`by Huey, seconded by Huza,'that this being the time for the hearing on Resolution No. C- 1092', providing for the piping of the Union Ditch Companyls open irrigation ditch on the west side of Fair Avenue between-Pacific Avenue and dashington Street, and there being insufficient protest against said improvement or any part thereof to.warrant -the abandonment of the project; It is ordered that Ordinance No. B -1520, creating L.I. D. No. 76$, be passed as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. -B -15209 AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of -property in the City of Yakima, Washington, by piping the Union Ditch Companyts open irrigation ditch on the west side of Fair Avenue. between Pacific Avenue and Washington Street; 'establi'shing a Local Improvement District; and providing for the method of payment.therefor. This being the time for receiving bids for equipment for the Fire Department, the follow- ing were received: Gamewell Co. on a Peerless Transmitter in the sum of $980.00 on 2 Excelsior Registers., in the sum of $491.50; 2 Console Recorders in the sum of $1,10$.30. . Superior American Fire Alarm &Signal Co. on a 4 circuit electrical register, in the sum of $955.00; Time Stamp, in the sum of $373,00- Electrical take -up -reel in the sum o $205.00 each 2 single circuit driven registers at 200.00 each and 1 - 4 digit circuit electrical transmitter for $900.00. B. &.B:. Engineering Corp. on 2 Standard circuit spring driven fire alarm recorder for 1" tape in the sum of $390.00 each. 1 - 4.digit, all electrical pentefold manual trans- mitter, Class A, -Type 404, in the sum of $700.00.1 -41- circuit, electrical recorder with reel and date and time furnished, in the sum of'6700.00. Said bids were'turned over to the Fire Department for tabulation and a recommendation by the Fire Chief, as to award of said bids, carried. Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza, that the claim of Willie Lee Schlagel, for damages alleged to have been sustained by reason of an automobile-accident at the intersection of 16th Avenue and Summitview Avenue, when his car and one driven by Georgette Kennard collided at said intere.section, is hereby rejected, carried- Burns, Huza and Huey.voting aye on roll call:`' MOVED'by Burns- 'dseconded by Huza, that the following report of the Investment Committee for investments purchased during the month of November 1953, be approved as follows:. ADJOURNED MEETING, THURSDAY, DECEMBER 1.7, 1953, 10:00 a.m. The City Commission met pursuant to adjournment, Mayor Burns and Commissioners Huza and Huey present on roll call. Moved by Huza, seconded by Burns, that upon recommendation of the Fire Chief, W. K. Moore the following bids for the purchase of fire equipment for the City Fire department be awarded to the following firms: - B'& B'Engineering Corp. 2 Standard, closed circuit, spring driven, fire alarm recorder at $390.00, and 1 4- digit, all electrical pentefold manual transmitter, in the'sum of $700'.00, and from the Gamewell Corp. 1 console recorder, 4- circuit capacity, with integral take- up�reel and time stamp for the sum of $1,108.30, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
