The Citv Commission met in regular session, Commissioners Huza and Huey present on roll call, Mayor Burns absent. The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, November 23rd, 1953 were approved as read. Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza, that the City Engineer having reported the completion of the Swan Avenue Domestic 1;`Iater System, in L.I.D. No. 753, by the Contractor, said roll is hereby accepted, and the City Engineer instructed to prepare an assessment roll for said district, and the City Clerk authorized to give notice of hearing on said assessment roll by publication as required by law for Monday, the .,21st day of December 1953, at 10 otclock A.M., carried: Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call, Mayor Burns absent. Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza, that the City En ineer having reported the completion of the Park Lane Irrigation System, in L.I.D. No. 755, by the contractor, said work is here- by accepted, and the City Engineer instructed to prepare an assessment roll for said district, and the C=ity Clerk authorized to give Notice of hearing on said roll for Monday the 21st day of December 1953, at 10 otclock A.M., carried: Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call, Mayor Burns absent. Moved by Huza, seconded by Huey, that the City Clerk is hereby instructed to advertise for bids for the following equipment for the City Fire Department, to wit: One 4 Digit Manual Transmitter One 4 Circuit Electrical Register One Electrical Take up reel and One time Stamp Two Single Circuit Registers. Said bids to be received on Monday, the 14th day of December 1953, at 10 otclock A.M., carried: Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call, Mayor Burns absent. Moved by Huza, seconded by Huey, that we do now adjourn to meet Friday, December 4th, 1953, at 3 otclock ;'.M., carried Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call, Mayor Burns absent. ADJOURNED MEETING, FRIDAY,.DECEMBER 4th, 1953, 3:00 P.M. The City Commission met pursuant to adjournment, Commissioners Huza and Huey present on roll call, Mayor Burns Absent. Moved by Huza, seconded by Huey, that Resolution No. C -1095, providing for the exercise of options on the part of the City of Yakima for the Municipal Airport, with Otto W. Elder, et ux, John B. Rua, et ux, and Adrian R. Curtis, et ux; the description of the property involved and amounts to be paid to said parties being more particularly described in said Resolution, carried. Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call,'Mayor Burns absent. RESOLUTION NO. C -10951 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COr.,ISSION .OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: 1. That the City of Yakima shall forthwith exercise its option from Otto W. Elder and Grace E. Elder, husband and wife, dated November 6, 1953, for the purchase of the following described real estate situated in Yakima County, Washington, to-wit- The West.85 feet of the East 658.5 feet of the North 189 feet of the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 34, Township 13 North, Range 18 E.W.M., Yakima County, !tiTashington, EXCEPT the North 30 feet thereof for roadway, together with all water rights and other appurtenances thereunto belonging, for the sum of $8,000.00; and the appropriate City officials are hereby authorized and, directed to pay said purchase price from the funds derived from the $76,.000.00 Yakima Municipal Airport Improvement bond issue and to do any and all things necessary or proper for completing said purchase transaction. 2. The City of Yakima shall forthwith exercise its option from John B� ;. Rua and Mildred L. Rua, husband and wife, dated November, 7, 1953, for the purchase of the .following described real estate situate in Yakima County, 1Jrashington, to -wit: The west 497 feet of the east 573.5 feet of the north 189 feet of the northeast quarter of the southeast quarter, except the north 30 feet for road, all in Section 34, Township 13 North, Range 18 E.W.M. (approximately 1.82 acres), together with all water rights and other appurtenances thereunto belonging, for the sum of $8,000.00; and the appropriate City officials are hereby authorized and directed to pay said purchase price from the funds derived from the $76,000.00 Yakima Municipal Airport Improvement bond issue and to do any and all things necessary or properl, for completing said purchase transaction. 3. That the City of Yakima shall forthwith exercise its option from Adrian R. Curtis) and Mary R. Curtis, husband and wife, dated November 7, 1953, for the purchase of the following described real estate situate in Yakima County, 1AIashington, to -wit: The north 189 feet of the northeast Quarter of the southeast quarter EXCEPT -the east 658.5 feet and EXCEPT the west 527 feet and EXCEPT the north 30 feet, all in Section 34, Twonship 13 North, Range 18 E.W.M.; (containing approximately .31 acres) together with all water rights and other appurtenances thereunto belonging, for the sum of $89500.00; and the appropriate City officials are hereby authorized and directed to pay said purchase price from the funds derived from the $76,000.00 Yakima Municipal Airport Improvement Bond Issue and to do any and all things necess ry or proper for completing said purchae transaction.
