MONDAY, NOVEMBER 16th, 1953, 10:00 otclock a.m.
The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Burns and Commissioners Huza and Huey
present on roll call.
The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, - November 9th and adjourned meeting thereof,
were approved.
This being the time for receiving bids for the construction of a sewer on the Power House
Road project, the following were received:
E. M. Gostovich 31795'.00
DeElasio Bros. 32233.50
Carroll & Sanislo 3,500.00
N. L. Kimball 2,979.40.
After tabulation by the City Engineer; It was moved by Huey_, seconded by Burns, that the
bid of N. L. Kimball in the stun of $2,979.40 be accepted as the lowest and best bid, and
the Mayor and City Clerk instructed to execute a contract on behalf of the City of Yakima
for doing said work, upon the filing of the proper bond required by law; carried: Burns,
Huza and Huey voting arse on roll call.
This being the time for receiving bids for the construction of a sewer on N. First Street
Lateral "G'f, the following were received

DeS'lasio Bros. 12389.50
N. L. Kimball 19166.25
Carroll & Sanislo 12120.10.
After tabulation by the City Engineer; It was moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that the
bid of Carroll & Sanislo, in the Sum of $1,120.10 be accepted as the lowest and best bid,
and the Mayor and City Clerk instructed to execute a contract on behalf of the City of
Yakima for doing said work, upon the filing of a proper bond as required by law, carried:

Moved by Burns, seconded by Huey, that Ordinance No. B -1513, fixing the time of delinquent
and prescribing the form of bond in L.I.D. No. 744, be passed as read, carried:' Burns,
Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B =15131 AN ORDINANCE fixing the time of delinquency of installments of
assessments levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local Improvement
District No. 744, and providing for the issuance-of bonds with coupons attached for the
payment of the unpaid portion thereof.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that Ordinance No. B -1514, fixing the time of delinq-
uency and prescribing the form of bond in L.I.D. No. 751, be passed as read, carried:
Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE,NO. B -15142 AN ORDINANCE fixing the time of delinquency of installments of
assessments levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local.Improvement
District No. 751, and providing for,the issuance of bonds with coupons attached for the
payment of the unpaid portion thereof.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that Ordinance No. B -1515, fixing the time of delinq-
uency and prescribing the form of bond, in L.I.D. No. 754, be passed as read, carried:
Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B- 1515, AN ORDINANCE fixing the time of delinquency of installments of
assessments levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local Improvement
District No. 754, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons attached for the
payment of the unpaid portion thereof.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that Ordinance No. B -1516, fixing the time of delinq-
uency and pre'scribi.ng_ the form of bond in L.I.D. No. 755, be passed as read, carried:
Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -1516, AN ORDINANCE fixing the time of delinquency of installments of
assessments levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local Improvement
District No. 755, and provicing for the issuance of bonds with coupons attached for the
payment of the unpaid portion thereof.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that Ordinance No. B -1517, fixing the time of delinq-
uency and prescribing the form of bond in L.I.D. No. 756, be passed as read, carried:
Burns,,Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B -1517, AN ORDINANCE ficing the time of delinquency of installments of
assessments levied for the payment of the cost of the improvement in Local Improvement
District No. 756, and providing for the issuance of bonds with coupons attached for the
payment of the unpaid portion thereof.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that the claim of Hadle and Hadley, consulting Engin-
eers on the Lenox Avenue Overpass project, in the sum of p4,500.00 be allowed, and the
City Clerk authorized to issue a warrant on the proper fund in payment therefor, carried:
Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that permission be granted to V. B. Armstrong, City
Building Inspector, to attend the School of Instruction for Building Officials at Pullman
to convene on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of December, 1953, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey
voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that we do now adjourn, carried: Burns, Huza and
Huey voting aye on roll call.
