The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, Octoberl9th, 1953 were approved as read. Moved by Huza, seconded by Huey, that Resolution No. C =1090, &ivia& the notice to be gi in calling any of its General Obligation Airport bonds when subject to call, be adopted as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. C -1090, A RESOLUTION of the City of Yakima, Washington fixing the notice to be given in calling any of its General Obligation Airport Bonds in the principal sum of $76,000 subject to call. WHEREAS, the City of Yakima is issuing as of date of October 1, 1953, $76,000 of General Obligation Airport Bonds which are payable serially in from two to fifteen years from date; and . WHEREAS, the City in the bond ordinance and as set forth in the bonds has the right to call-said-bonds not then matured for payment on the first day of October of any year on and after October 1, 1958, but did not provided the form of notice which should be given for such redemption; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Yakima, Washington, as follows: Before calling any of said bonds for payment prior to their maturity date, the City shall give notice of any such intended redemption by one publication thereof in the official city newspaper not more than forty nor less than thirty days prior to said redemption date. BURNS City Clerk Mayor Moved by Huza, seconded by Burns, that the City Clerk be instructed to give notice to bidders by publication as required by law, for the purchase of a Diesel -tractor for the Sanitation; said purchase to include a trade -in of a D -2 Caterpillar Tractor (1949); bids to be received on Monday, November 9th, 1953, at 10 a.m., carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye, on roll call. Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that Ordinance No. B -1504, �r oviding for one hour parking on both sides of West Walnut Street from 4th Avenue to 6th Avenue and, the north side of Walnut Street from 7th Avenue to 8th Avenue, be passed as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -15041 AN ORDINANCE amending subdivision (a) and (b) of Section 71 of Ordinance No. B -131 entitled: "AN ORDINANCE relating'to and regulating traffic, travel and transportation and their incidents upon the streets and other ways open to the public; rescribing the powers and duties of officers and others in relation thereto; defining offenses, providing penalties and repealing certain ordinances concerned with or relating to the subject matter of this ordinance, and declaring an emergency;" as.. amended by Ordinances No. B -$70, B -956, B -106$, R -11$6, B -12332 B -13391 B -1351, B -1440 and B' -1473; and declaring an emergency. Moved by Huza, seconded by Huey, that the City Attorney is hereby instructed to prepare an ordinance for closing the City Hall on Saturdays, carried: Huey and Huza voting aye, and Mayor Burns not voting. Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza, that Ordinance No. 3-1505, regulating street decorations and banners, and amending Ordinance B -$10, be passed as read, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -15051 AN ORDINANCE regulating street decorations and banners and amending Ordinance No. B'810, entitled "AN ORDINANCE relating to and regulating the erection and maintenance of-advertising signs, billboards and tanners in the City of Yakima; regulating advertising on the street of the City, requiring a license for bill posting, a bond and license for sign erectors, a permit for the erection of signs and billboards and the inspection of such signs and billboards; providing for license permit and inspection fees, fixing penalties for the violation thereof and repealing Ordinance No. B -13$, passed and approved by the City Commission November 14, 1913, and any and all ordinances amendatory thereof," renumbering certain sections of said ordinance, and declaring an emergency. Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza, there being no further business to come before the board that we do now adjourn, carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
