The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Burns and Commissioners Huza and Huey present on roll call. The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday August 3rd, 1953 and adjourned meeting t of were approved as read. Moved by Burns, seconded by,Huey, that Harry Hazel be appointed to serve as Police Judge, Pro Tempore, motion carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. Moved by Huza,. seconded by Burns, that `Extended Coverage Clause40 be added to the present fire insurance policy with Norgard Insurance Agency; motion carried: Burns and Huza Voting aye on roll call, Huey Not Voting. Romeo A. Bott,1 Executive Secretary for the Statewide City Employees Retirement System, presented the 1954 budget for the Retirement- System to the City Commission for further study and comments. Moved by Huza, seconded by Huey, that Ordinance No. B -1482 providing for the borrowing of money in the sum of $76,000.00, by the City of Yakima, for the purpose of enlarging and improving the Yakima Municipal Airport, prescribing the form of bonds and creating a special fund therefor, heretofore introduced by the City Commission and read in full by the City clerk and laid on the table for one week, be read by title and passed in full on its third and final reading, motion unanimously carried. ORDINANCE NO. B -1482, AN ORDINANCE providing for the borrowing of money in the sum of $76,4000.00 by the City of Yakima and issuing its general negotiable serial interest - bearing coupon bonds therefor, for the purpose of enlarging and improving the Yakima Municipal Airport, prescribing the form of said bonds, and creating a fund to redeem said bonds and interest. Moved by Huza, seconded ,by Burns, that the City Clerk is hereby-instructed-to give notice to bidders for the Sale-of the $76,000.00 General Obligation Bond Issue for the improve- ment and betterment of the Yakima Municipal Airport; said bids to be received on Monday, September 21st 1953,, at ,10 o'clock A.M. Carried: Burns, Huza land Huey-voting aye on roll call. Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza, that we do now adjourn to meet again at 2 :.30 P.M, carried:- Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call. ADJOURNED MEETING, MONDAY AUGUST 10th, 1953, 2 :30 P.M. The City Commission met pursuant to adjournment, Mayor Burns and Commissioners Huza and Huey present on roll call. Moved by Huey, seconded by Huza, that a Taxi -cab stand location be established in the first parking space on the East Side of North 2nd Street, motion carried: Burns, Huza and Huey voting aye on roll call.
