The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Burns and Commissioners Huza and Huey present on roll call.. The minutes of the regular meeting.of Monday, June 22nd and adjourned meeting thereof were approved as read. This being the time for the postponed hearing on Resolution No. C -1061, providing for the construction of an irrigation system on Fair Avenue and other property more particularly described in said resolution, and there being no one appearing at said hearing for or against said improvement, or any part thereof ;; It was moved by Huey, seconded by Huza that Ordinance No. B -1469, creating Local Improvement District be passed as read; carried; Huey and Huza voting aye on roll call, Burns not voting. ORDINANCE NO. B�-1469, AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of property in the City Of Yakima, Washington,,by construction an irrigation system to serve various lots and tracts of land; establishing a local improvement district; providing for the method of payment therefor, and creating a special fund. This being the time for the hearing on the assessment roll covering L.I.D. No. 748,. providing for the construction of curbs and gutters on 28th Avenue South and there being no objectionstosaid assessment roll, or any part thereof;: It was moved by Huey, seconded by Burns; that Ordinance No. B -1468 confirming said assessment roll and every part thereof, be passed as read, carried: Burns, Huza and.Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -1468, AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improve- ment District No. 748 as created-and-established by Ordinance No. B -1427 of the Ordinances of the City of Yakima. An ordinance was introduced providing for an emergency to pay the services of Homer M. Hadley, in the sum of $9,000.00 in .connection with the Lenox Avenue overpass, which emergency could not have been foreseen at the,time of the passage of the 1953 budget; said preliminary ordinance was read in full by the City Clerk and laid on the table for one week.
