The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, April 13th 1953 -, and adjourned meeting thereof be approved as read. Moved by -Huey, seconded by Burns, that this being the time for the hearing on the assess- ment roll, in L.I.D.. No. 7439 and there being no objections to said roll, or any part thereof : - It is ordered that Ordinance No. B -1445 confirming said assessment roll and every part thereof, be passed as read, carried: Burns, and Huey voting aye on roll call, Carpenter absent. ORDINANCE N0. B -1445, AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improve- ment District No. 743 as created and established by:Ordina nce Nom B -1391 of the Ordinances of the City of Yakima. Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that this being the time for the hearing on the assess- ment roll in L.I.D. 746, and there being no objections in writing or otherwise tos aid assessment roll, or any part thereof: It is ordered that Ordinance No. B -1446 donfirming said roll and every part thereof be passed as read,, carried: Burns and Huey voting aye on roll call, Carpenter absent. Moved by Burns, seconded by Huey, that Ordinance No. B -1447, establishing a Fire Z -one Classification for building zones in'the City of Yakima, be pa ssed as read, carried: Burns and Huey voting aye on roll call, Carpenter absent. ORDINANCE NO. B -1447, AN ORDINANCE establishing a Fire Zone classification of all limited business, business, commercial and industrial zones, as established by Zoning Ordinance No. B -293 and Amendments there-to.. Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that Ordinance No. B -1448, providing for a Board of Adjustment be passed as read, carried: Burns and.Huey voting aye on roll call, Carpenter absent. ORDINANCE NO. B -1448, AN ORDINANCE amending Section 22 of Ordinance No. B -293., entitled: "AN ORDINANCE regulating and restricting the location of trades and industries; regulat- ing and limiting the use of buildings and premises; and the height and size of buildings; providing for yards, courts and other open spaces; establishing districts for s yid' purposes, and providing for a board of adjustment, and repealing Ordinances Nos. B -22', B -ab, B -43,, B -51, B -71,: B -126, B -147 and B- 172.'x' Moved by Burns, seconded-by Huey that the ordinance heretofore introduced and. pa ssed to its second reading,.providing for an emergency ordinance for repairing sewer mains, etc. to Union Gap, be passed to its third reading, and the final passage postponed.on account of the absence of Commissioner Carpenter, carried!.: Burns.and Huey voting aye on roll call, Carpenter absent. Moved by Burns, seconded by Huey, that this being the time .for receiving bids for the urchase of two four -door sedans, the bid of the Burrows Motor Company in the "sum of 2,259.64 on each car less a trade in of a 1950 four -door sedan, No. 10 Police 'Car in the sum of $1,100.00 and ,a 1941 Ford four -door sedan Parking Meter Car, in the sum of $3.00.00, or a net price F.O.B. Yakima of $2:,,594:.63 was the only bid received and s aid bid be taken under advisement for one week, carried Burns and Huey voting aye on roll call, Carpenter absent.
