The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Burns and Commissioners Carpenter and
Huey present on roll call.
The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, April 6th 1953, and adjourned meeting ther
of, be approved as- read.'
Moved by Huey,. seconded by Burns, that the City Attorney is hereby instructed to prepare
an ordina,,ice amending Section 22, of Ordinance No. B -293, defining the duties and function
of the Adjustment Board, and adding "two new members to said board, making a total of five
instead of three, carried: Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Carpenter, seconded by Burns, that an ordinance; providing for the expenditure of
funds for the purpose of repairing the sewer main of the City of Yakima which connects.
with the trunk line of Union Gap's sewer system by constructing a drain, and syphon over
Spring Creek, all in a sum not to exceed $5,000.00 was introduced and read in full and
laid on the table for one week, carried: Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting-aye on roll
call.
RESOLUTION NO. C -1054, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY'OF YAKIMA:
That it is its intention to improve the

is described as follows, to -wit:
All of the Lots in Blocks 311 and 391, Capital Addition, all of the
lots in Block 3.52, Yordy's Supplemental Addition, and all of the lots
in Block 413, 414 and 415 of Bedker's Addition, Bedker Second Addition
and Capital Addition.
All persons who mayd esire to object to said proposed improvement are hereby
notified to appear 23nd present such objection, if any, at a. meeting of the City Comm-
ission' to' be held at its office in the City Hall, in the City of Yakima of Yakima County,
Washington, at the hour of 10:00 o'clock A.M., on Monday, the 4th day of May, 1953;;
which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said
proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the method of payment for
said'. improvement; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hear-
ing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement.
The costs and e xpensesof s aid improvement, including the costs of acquiring
right �f way easements, engineering, surveying, advertising, publication of notices, and
all:. other expenses :incident thereto, shall be borne by and assessed against all of the
property legally and properly ass:essable therefor as provided by law and as above
described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to-the City Commission at
or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and other information
required by law to be by him submitted.

Moved by Burns, seconded by Carpenter, that we do now adjourn to meet Tuesday, AP?il 14,

The City Co,inission met pursuant to adjournment, Mayor Burns and Commissioners Huey and
Carpenter present on roll call.
Moved by Carpenter, seconded by Huey; that this being the time for the continued hearing
on Resolution No. C: -1049, providing for the construction of a sewer on the south line of
vacated East "B "' Street and other property more particularly described in said resolution,
and the City Engineer having reported a protes of approximately 67.6. It is ordered
that said improvement be abandoned, carried: Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on
roll call.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Carpenter that we do now adjourn, carried: Burns, Carpenter
and Huey voting aye on roll call.
