The minutes of the.regular meeting of Monday February 2nd, 1953 and adjourned meeting thereof were approved as read. Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that this being the time for the hearing on Resolution No. C -1038, for the construction of an irrigation system on 29th Avenue South and Bonnie Doon, and there being insufficient protest on the part of property owners in said district; It is ordered that Ordinance. No. B -1427 creating a Local Improvement District be passed as read, carried: Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B -1427, AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of property in the city of Yakima, Washington, by constructing an irrigation system to serve various lots and tracts, of land;: establishing a Local Improvement District; providing for the method of payment therefor, and creating a special fund. Moved by Huey, seconded by Carpenter, that Resolution No. C -1043 be adopted as read, carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO. C- 10431 WHEREAS, Section 71 (c) of Article XIII.. of Ordinance No.. B -131,, passed by the City of Yakima, on the 26th day of.February, 1936, and amendment thereto, provides that the City Commission may, by resolution, set aside non- parki- ng.zones and shall cause the same to be marked with appropriate signes or markers, and, WHEREAS; it is necessary for the preservation of public safety to set aside additional non - parking zones in the City of Yakima, now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Yakima: That the north side of west Walnut Street from south Twelfth Avenue west.to south Fourteenth Avenue, be and it is hereby set aside as a non - parking zone for all hours of the day and night; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Yakima, that the east side of south Fourteenth Avenue, from west Walnut Street to west Chestnut Street, be and it is hereby-set aside as anon- parking zone for all hours of the day and night; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City �'ommission of the City of Yakima, that the west side of south Twelfth Avenue, from west Chestnut Street, south for a. distance of 150 feet, be and it is hereby set aside as a non - parking zone for all hours of the day and night; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the, City Commission of the City of Yakima, that the Commissioner of Public Works be and he hereby is directed to install appropriate signs and markers, indicating said non - parking zones;. B -1428, AN ORDINANCE submitting to the qualified voters of the City of :Yakima, Wa.shi,ngto"n, at the general election to be held in said City on March 10, 1953, the proposition of creating an indebtedness in the sum of $300,000.00;, creating a municipal airport expansion fund, and the issuance and sale therefor of general,negotiabl interest - bearing coupon bonds of said City in said Amount, for the purpose of improving and enlarging the Yakima Municipal Airport, acquiring land, extending runways, moving buildings, moving Washington Avenue, and making other necessary improvements; providing for the terms and method of payment of said bonds, and providing for the calling an d iholding of such election, and declaring an emergency.
