The, Commission. met in regular session, Mayor Burns and Commissioners Carpenter and
Huey present on .roll call.
The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, December 29th '1952:, were approved as read.
Moved by ,Huey, seconded .by Burns, that this being the time for the .adjourned hearing on.
the assessment .roll in L,I,.D.; No. 7404 and there being'no , „objections in writing or
otherwise to said assessment.roll,.or any part thereof; It is ordered tha,.t Ordinance No.
B -1420 confirming said assessment roll, be passed as read, carried Burns, Carpenter ,',_.•
and Huey voting aye on roll call. f'
ORDINANCE NO. B -1420, AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improve-
ment District No. 740 as created and established by Ordinance No. B -1374 of the Ordinance
of the City of Yakima.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that Ordinance No. B -1421, rezoning property in Block
390 and 411 Capitol Addition from "C " residence to Limited Busines.sDistrict, etc. be
passed as read, carried: Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye.o.,,

ORDINANCE NO. B- 1421., AN. ORDINANCE rezoning Lots. 1, 2, 3, 4, 15 and 16, Block 390 Lots
1. and 2 in Block 410 and Lots 1, 2, 15 and 16, Block 411,. Capitol Addition, from ACM
residence district to limited business district, and srezoning that portion of the East
145 feet of Tract . :30, Hathawayt s Five .Acre Tracts, . laying north of the Union Ditch,
from ''t'B't residence :district to "C "` residence district.
Moved by Carpenter, seconded by Burns, that the report of the Investment Committee of
investments purchased during the month of .December 1952, are hereby approved as follows:

Moved by Burns, seconded by Carpenter, that the claim of Oford F” Duff, for .damages in
the sum of $435.00 alleged to have been sustained by reason of impounding his car while
being incarcerated in the City Jail by Wagner- Chevrolet Company on.their parking lot
during. ,the month of October 1952, is hereby. rejected, carried: Burns, farpenter and
Huey v oting aye on roll call.
Moved.;*by Huey, seconded by Carpenter, that the City Clerk be instructed to advertise
for bids for the following commodities: 12 ton truck for the Street Department,
5,1000 feet of 34” type '10- copper pipe for the Water.Department, 2 ton truck for the
Irrigation Department, said bids to be 'received on Monday, January 29th 1953, at 10 :00
otclock A. M., carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Carpenter, seconded by .Burns, that the following bids received on December 29th
1952�,.be awarded: Road Oil MC2, between Union and Shell Oil Companies. Kerosene -
posted price to Shell Oil Company, Fuel Oil - open market to Union Kelly and Western.
Fuel Oil Companies, Gasoline and Diesel - firm bid to Quality Oil Co., Oil, Grease
and Solvent to Union Oil Company, firm bid, carried: Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting
aye on roll call.
Moved by Carpenter, seconded by Huey, that we do now adjourn, carried:- Burns, Carpenter
and Huey voting aye on roll call.
