The City tCommission met in regular session, Mayor Burns and Commissioners Carpenter and
Huey present on roll. call.
The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, December 22nd 1952, were passed as read.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that this being the time for receiving bids for
constructing a sewer in L.I.D. No, 747, the following were received:

N. Lo Kimball 3,857.00
the bid of N. L. Kimball was accepted as the lowest and best bid, and the Mayor and
City Clerk are hereby - authorized to enter into a. contract on behalf of the City of
Yakima for doing said work, carried Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call.
Moved'by Carpenter, seconded by Burns, that the bid of the Burrows Motor Company for a
1953' four -door sedan for the Police Department in the sum of $1,214.40 being the only
bid received, wad accepted, carried: Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Carpenter, seconded by Burns, that the bid of Wagner Chevrolet Company, for a
1953 Chevrolet two -ton truck for the Sanitation Department in thersum of $2,324.10 was
accepted as the lowest and best bid, carried: Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on
roll call.
Moved by Carpenter, seconded by Burns, that the bid of Ever Green Trailer Company for a
Garbage Truck Body and a Hercules Hoist in the sum of $1,5 °>14.28 be accepted as the
lowest and best bid„ carried: Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to enter into an agreement -with I. So Vaughn, for the sale of salvage from the dump
grounds in the sum of $100.00 per month in advance to the City of Yakima; said contract
commencing November 1st 1952.and to terminate November 1st 1953, carried: Burns, Huey
and Carpenter voting; aye on roll call.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that this being the time for the hearing on the
assessment roll in L.I.D. No. 740, providing for paving the alley in Block 48 City and
Block 130 Husons; It is ordered that said hearing be continued to Monday, January 5th
1953, at 10;00 o ±clock A.M. carried: Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that this being, the time for the hearing on the
Assessment roll in L.I.D, No. 745, providing for paving the Alley between Division to
Haynes, and there being no objections in- writing or otherwise to said assessment roll,
or any part thereof; It is ordered that Ordinance No. B-1419 confirming said roll and
every part thereof be passed as read, carried: Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on
roll call*
ORDINANCE NO. B -1419, AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local
Improvement District No* 745 as created and established by Ordinance No. B -1396 of the
Ordinances of the City of Yakima-.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that we do now adjourn, carried: Burns, Carpenter
and Huey voting aye on roll call.
