NOVEMBER 17, 1952
The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Burns and Commissioners -Carpenter and
Huey present on roll call.
The minutes: of the regular meeting of Monday, ;November 10th 1952, were approved as read,.
Moved by Carpenter, seconded by Huey, , that the bid of the Marchant Calculating Machine
Company for a Mode]. C -10 DRX office Calculating Machine for the City Treasurerts office
in the sum of $571..50 less $85.00 trade -in and plus state tax, or $501.10 be accepted,
carried: Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Burns, seconded by Huey, that S:oester I. Anthon be, and she is hereby appointed
to serve as a member of the Planning Commission Board for a term of six years; said'
term to date from I►ugust 16th, 1952,., to August 1.6, 1958, motion carried.; Burns, Huey
and carpenter voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Carpenter, that the City Engineer having reported the
completion of the Curb and Cutter District in L.I.D. No, 738,; by the contractor, said
work is:her.eby accepted and the City Engineer, authorized to prepare an assessment
roll for said district and the City Clerk instructed to give notice of hearing on said
roll for Monday, De- cember 8th 1952, at 10::00 ltclock A.M., carried, Burns, Carpenter
and Huey voting aye;. on, roll call.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Carpenter, that, tie ''ity Attorney is hereby authorized and
directed to prepare an ordinance relating to taxi cab space in the City of Yakima to
provide for an extra, fee for moving from one location to another; said fee being $35.00
for the first spaces and $15.001 for each additional space, carried. Burns, Carpenter
and Huey voting ayes on roll. call.
Moved by Burns, seconded by Huey, that we do now adjourn, carried, Burns, Carpenter and
Huey voting aye on roll call.
