Tha City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Burns and Commissioners, Carpenter-:aiid
Huey present on roll call.
The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, September 15, 1952 were approved as read.
Moved by Carpenter, seconded by Burns, that this being the time for receiving bids for
the purchase of an electric calculator for the City Treasurer, the following was received
Commercial Office Equipment Company for a Friden Automatic
rotary type ele'ctri.c Calculator,, ets. in the sum of $718.43;
said bid being the only one received was taken under advisement, carried:.. Burns.. Huey
and Carpenter voting aye on roll call.
On Tesentation of an emergency ordinance to keep the registration of voters,in various
places of the City of Yakima beginning on September 29th and continuing through October
4th 1952, a motion was made by Carpenter for the passage of .said ordinance providing
that the City Attorney would .give an opinion as to whether or not an emergency existed:
the motion was seconded by Burns, and on roll cal Huey voted NO said motion did not
carry,
Moved by Burns, seconded by Carpenter, that the City purchase a.. Sanborn Map, in the sum
of $150.00 -f'ov the City bf;- .-Yvkimat4 carried: Burns, Carrpenter and Huey voting aye on
roll call..
Moved by Carpenter, seconded by Huey, that we do now adjourn,. carried: Burns, Carpenter
and Huey voting aye on roll call.
