The minutes of the regualr meeting of Monday, September 8th 1952 , were approved as read. Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that the petition of Harold Jones and other property owners in Philip's Suburban Tracts asking for minexation to the City of Yakima is hereby accepted and the City Clerk instructed to publish a notice of hearing on said petition and by posting said notice in 3 conspicious places on the property sought to be �acated said hearing to be Monday.. October 6th 1952, at 10 :00 o'clock A. M: Carried: Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call. Moved by Huey, seconded by Carpenter, that the resignation of H.•J. Jacobus, as Superintendent. of Parking Meters, to tai e effect October lst 1952, is hereby accepted, Carried, Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll calla Moved by Huey, seconded by Carpenter, that this being the time for the hearing on Resolution No. C -1029 providing for grading, ballasting, and surfacing ,46th Avenue North from Snow Mountain Road to Sunset Avenue, etc. and there being no objections in writing or otherwise to said assessment, or any part thereof; it is ordered that Ordinance No. B. -1394. creating L.I.D. No. 744, be passed as read, carried: Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting ajr e on roll call. ORDINANCE NO. B- 1394,. AN ORDINANCE ' providing for the improvement of certain property by grading, ballasting,, and surfacing; establishing a Local _Impr ovement District, providing for the method of payment therefor and creating a special fund. Moved by Carpenter, seconded by Huey, that the City Clerk is hereby.authorized to give notice to Contractors for grading, ballasting and surfacing 46th Avenue North from Snowmountain Road to Sunset Aveune, L,I.D .,. No. 744; said bids to be received Monday, September 29.th 1952 -at 10 :00 o'clock A.M.,. carried, Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call. RESOLUTION NO.. C- 1030,. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA: That it is its intention to improve the alley from Division Street to Haynes Street between Queen Avenue and Twelfth Avenue South;. by grading and paving with asphaltic concrete placed on a gravel base;- all of said improvements to b e constructed.in full accordance with the plans and specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk. The district to be served by and assessed for the above - described improvements is described as follows, to -wit. Beginning at the interstction of Twelfth Avenue South and Division Street, thence a ELsterly al ong 'Divis ion Street to Queen Avenue to Haynes Street, thence westerly along Haynes Street to Twelfth Avenue South, thence northerly along Twelfth Avenue South to the point of beginning. All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvem3 nt . are hereby notified to appear ELnd present such objection, if any, at a meeting of the City Comm- ission to be held at its office in the City hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, at the hour of 10 :00 0' clock A.M'.,, on Monday, the 6th day of October, 1952; which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said proposed improvement; or objections thereto, and for determining the method of payment for said improvement;; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notict of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement. The costs and expenses of said improvement, including the cost of acquiring' right of way easements, engineering, surveying, advertising, publication of notices, and all other expenses incident thereto, shall be borne by and assessed against all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor a s provided by law and as above described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and other information required by law to be by him submitted.
