The City;'Commission met in regular session, Mayor Burns and Commissioners Carpenter and
Huey present on roll call.
The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, August 18th 19520. were approved as read,
Moved by Carpenter, seconded by Huey, that this being the time for receiving bids-for
the purchase of a truck for the' Fire Department the following bid was recei -ved:
Hahn Motor Company
$6,549.44;
said bid being the only one received; award was made to said Company, carried; Burns,
Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call,.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that this being the time for the continued hearing on
the Assessment roll on Lincoln Avenue, L.I.D. No. 731, and there being no further'
objections to said assessment roll or any part thereof: It: is ordered that Ordinance
No. B- 1390:1 confirming said assessment roll and every part thereof be passed as read,
carried: Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call.
ORDINANCE N0. B- 1390, "AN ORDINANCE confirming the assessment roll covering Local Improve-
ment District No® 734 as created and established by Ordinance No. B -13-54 of the Ordinance;
of the City of Yakima.
RESOLUTION NO, G -1029, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA,
WASHINGTON:
That it is its intention to improve 46th Avenue North from Snowmountain Road
to Sunset Avenue, and Avalanceh Avenue west of 46th Avenue.North, by grading, ballasting,
and surfacing said streets, all of said improvements to be constructed in full accordance
with the plans and specifications to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the
City Clerk.,
The district to be served by and assessed for ,the above - described improvement
is situate in Yakima County, Washington, and described as follows, to -wit :.
Beginning at a point on the south line of Up.landa Way, midway between
44th Avenue North end 46th Avenue North, thence southerly along a line
midway between 44th Avenue North and 46th Avenue North to the North line
of Snommountain Road;: thence westerly along said north line to a point
75 feet west of the southeast corner of Lot -14, •Block 114,• The Uplands.-
thence northerly to the southeast corner of Lot 6 of said Block 14; thence
westerly along a line to the southwest corner of Lot. 3g of said Block 14,
and said-line extended to a point 180.8 feet wrest of Aval. nche Avenue;
thence northerly and easterly along a line parallel with AAvala -nche Avenue
to the northeast corner of Lot 12:, Block 13s The Uplands-.- thence northerly
to the northwest corner of ,Lot 2 of said. Block 13; thence ea'aterly along
the south line of Sunset Aivenue to a point 40 feet east of the northwest:
corner of Lot-4., Block 17, The Uplands; thence southerly to the point of
beginning.
All persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement are hereby
notified to appear and present such objections, if an y, at a meeting of the City
Commission to be held. a.t . its office: in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima
County, Washington, at the hour of 10 oeclock A.M,,, on Monday the 15th day of September,
1952, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all -matters relating to
said proposed improvement or of jections thereto, and for determining the methof of
payment for said improvement; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice:
of said hearing and the intention to make the aforesaid improvement.
The cost and expense of said improvement, including the cost of acquiring;
right -of -way easements, engineering, surveying, advertising, publication of notices,
and all other expenses incident thereto, shall be borne by and assessed against all of
the property legally and ;properly assessable therefor as provided: by law and as above
described.;; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission at
or- prior to the date fixed-herein for said hearing, all of the data: and other information
required by law: to be by him submitted.

Moved by Carpenter, seconded by Burns, that we do now adjourn, carried: Burns, Huey
and Carpenter voting aye on roll call.
