Moved by* Huey, seconded by Burns, >that this'�eing the time for receiving bids for the construction of curbs and gutters -on 25th Avenue South, L.I.D. No® 742, the following received: Gallagher & Haller Joe Brandt $ 2, 569.00 2,424.50 The bid of Joe Brandt in the sum of $2,424..50 was accepted., and the Mayor and City Clark authorized to enter into a contract on behalf of the City of Yakima, for doing said work: carried, Mayor Burns and Commissioner Huey voting aye on roll call, Carpenter absent. ORDINANCE NO, B -1387, AN ORDINANCE authorizing the sale of real estate situate in Yakima County, Washington, described as: Beginning at the point on the east-line-of the south half of the northeast quarter of Section 34, Township 13 North, Range 18, E.W,M.,, 426 ®75 feet north of the southeast corner thereof;; thence 'north 700 03' west 2643 "4 fee-t,, more or less, to the north line of said subdivision; thence east along said north line 2487.0 feet, more or less, to the northeast corner of said subdivision; thence Both along the east line of said subdivision 893.25 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning ;. to .Roy Decoto and Henry D °eeoto, doing business as: Decoto Bross, Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns:, that Ordinance No. B -1387, authorizing the s ale of property at Municipal Airport, heretofore advertised and sold to Decoto on� their bid, be passed as read, carried: S-urn& and Huey voting aye on roll call, Carpenter-absente ORDINANCE N0, B -1386, AN ORDINANCE amending Section 104:(a) of ordinance No, B -850, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE to be known as the Electrical Code: of the City of Yakima for, safeguarding life and property by regulating the installation, alteration, repair, use and operation of electric wires, appliances, apparatus and devises in or about building on private or public; property; providing for the licensing for reguktion and revenue of electrical contractors, dealers and wiremen; defining approved electrical materials and applicances; prohibiting the sale or use of unapproved materials and applicances;; providing penalties-for the violation hereof;; repealing ordinal ce No. B -2:5 of the City of Yakima and all other ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith," Moved by. Huey, seconded by Burns., that Ordinan ce No. B- 1386, relative to roughing in of plumbing and duct work being installed in place before any electric wiring is installed in any resident or nonmetallic structure, be passes as read, carried: Burns-and Huey voting aye on roll call, Carpenter absent. RESOLUTION NO, C -1027, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON: That it is its intention to construct a domestic water system to serve all of the lots and tracts of land included within the following described district situated in Yakima County, Washington: The Uplands: Lots 7 13 Block 13 n 4 -1.0 4° 14 1- - 8 " 15 ft 1- - 13 B° 16 11 1 - 16 °! 17 Said improvement to consist of the instal la tion of the necessary mains, fire hydrants, valves and other .appurtenances for the purpose of supplying water for domestic use and to be constructed in full accordance with the plans and specificst ions to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City - Clerk. All. persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement are hereby notified to appear and present such objections, if any, at a meeting of the City Com:-i mission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, at the hour of 10:00 oaclock A .,.M., on Tuesday, the 2nd day of September, 1952-, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing on all matters relating to proposed improvement, or objections thereto, and for determining the method of payment therefor; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement* The cost and expense of said improvement, including the cost of acquiring right of way easements., engineering, surveying, advertising, inspection, publication of notices.and all other expenses incident thereto shall be borne by and assessed against . all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor, as provided by law and as above described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Com- mission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and other information required by law to be by him submitted.
