JULY 281, 19 52-
The City Commission met in regular session, Mayor Burns and Commissioners Carpenter and
Huey present on roll call.
The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, July 21st 1952, and adjourned meetings
thereof were approved as read.
Moved by Carpenter, seconded by Huey, that the bid of the Burrows Motor Company for two
Ford Sedans in the sum of $2,065.68 per car, and trade in of No. 13 Police car,in the,
aum of $1,210.,00 be accepted, carried:* -- Bu,rns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call.
Moved by "Huey, seconded by Carpenter ' 'that the Street Department purchase Car No. 3
from the Police Department in the sum of $1t210.00, carried: Burns,, Carpenter and Huey
voting aye on roll call.,
Moved by Carpenter, seconded by Burns, that the Economy Pest Control be given permission
to move the small office building situated at the Municipal Airport to the Northeast
corner of their ]eased property, carried; Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll
call.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Carpenter that the City Engineer having reported the complet-
ion of the 33rd Avenue North Domestic Water District L.I.D. No. 726,, said improvement
is hereby accepted and the City Engineer authorized to prepare an assessment roll for
said district and the City Clerk instructed to give notice of hearing on said roll for
Monday the 18th.day of August 1952,. at 10:00 of -clock A.M. carried, Burns, Carpenter and
Huey voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns that the City Engineer having reported the completion
of the Lincoln ,Avenue Curb and Gutter District in L,.I.D. No. 734, said improvement is
hereby accepted, and the City Engineer is hereby authorized to prepare an assessment
roll for said district, and the City Clerk instructed to give notice of hearing on
said roll for Monday, the 18th day of August 1952', at 10,00 olclock ,A•. -M« carried: Burns,
Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Huey, seconded by,Burns, that the City Clerk is hereby authorized to give
notice to bidders for the sale of property described as follows;
Beginning at a point on the East line of the :South a Northea:s.to
Sec. 34, Twp. 13; North Range 18 E.W.M.,, 426..75 feet North of the
Southeast corner thereof; thence North 701003-' West 2643.=4 .feet
more or less .to the North line of said-subdivision;- thence. East
along said North line 2487.9 feet more or less to the Northeast
corner of said subdivision;; thence South along the East line of
said subdivision 893.25 feet more or less to the point of
beginning.
said bids to be received on Wednesday, August 6th 1952, at 10;00 otclock A.M.. carried:

Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that the City Clerk is hereby instructed t o publish
notice to Contractors: for the construction of curbs-and gutters on 25th Avenue South
in L.I.D. no. 742, said bids to be received Monday, August 11, 1952 at 10;00 of clock
A.M. carried: Burns., Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll. call..
Moved by Carpenter, seconded by Huey, that we do now adjourn, carried; Burns, Huey and.
Carpenter voting aye on roll call.
