The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, June 21st 1952- and adjourned meeting there- of were approved as read. Moved by Huey, seconded by Carpenter, that this being the time for receiving bids for the construction of a sewer system in the Uplands Addition. L.I,D. No. 737,- the following were received; Joe Brandt N. L. Kimball A,.. L... Goodman $47,, 70.10 4.5,857.20 40, a,25.30. The bid of A.. Le Goodman was accepted and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to execute a contract on behalf of the City of Yakima for doing said work;- carried, Burns, Huey and Carpenter voting aye on roll.call.. Moved by Carpenter, seconded by Burns that the claim of Archie L. Houk for damages: alleged to have been sustained by reason of a•.fire at the Dump Gounds. burning various livestock belonging to said Houk. is hereby rejected: carried, Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call..' Moved by Huey, seconded by Carpenter, that this. being the time for the hearing on Resolution No. C -1021, providing for the construction of curbs and gutters on 25th Avenue South from Tieton 'Drive to a. point 650, feet south of Tieton Drive, and there being insufficient Xr otest against said improvement or any part thereof: it, is. ordered that Ordinance No. -B -1379 creating a..Local Improvement District be passed as'. read: carried,, Burns.., Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call. ORDINANCE NO.- B -1379, AN ORDINANCE providing for the improvement of certain property by grading, ballasting, surfacing and constructing concrete curbs and gutters;; establishing a Local Improvement District, py oviding for the method of payment therefor, and creating a special fund. RESOLUTION NO. C -1024, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON: That it is its intention to improve from 22d Avenue South to 23d Avenue south and the Bonnie .Coon Avenue to the North line of Menjanker surfacing and constructing concrete curbs and gut constructed in full accordance with the plans and City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk.. the north side of Bonnie Doon Avenue; west side. of 22d Avenue South from Subdivision, by grading, ballasting, ters ;, all of said improvements to be specifications to be prepared by the: The district to be served by and asssessed for the above - described improvement is situate in Yakima County, Washington, and described as` follows, to -wit; Lots 1. to 10 ,inclusive of Menjanker Subdivision, according to the official plat thereof on file and of record in the office of the County Auditor, Yakima County, Washington. A11 persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement are hereby notified to appear and present such objections, if any, at a. meeting of the City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima; Yakima. County, Washington, at the hour of 10;00. of clock A.M.,. on Monday the 21st day of July, 1952;, which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said proposed improvement or objections thereto,: and for determining the method of pay- ment for said improvement; and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement. The cost and expense of said improvement, including the cost of acquiring right of way easements, engineering, surveying, advertising, publication of notices, and all other expenses incident thereto, shall be borne by and assessed against all of the property legally and properly assessable therefor as provided by law and as above described; and the City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Commission at or prior to the date fixed herein for said hearing, all of the data and other information required by law to-be by him submitted;..
