The City Commission met in regular session., Mayor Burns: and Commissioners Carpenter and
Huey present on roll call.
The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, June 9th 1952, and adjourned meeting there-
of, were approved as read.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Carpenter, that the claim of Edward Pozarich for damages
alleged to have been sustained by having oiled black top spattered on his car on "D "
Street between lst and 2nd Streets, in the sum of 20.09,, is hereby rejected, carried:
Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call.

Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that this being the time for the hearing on rezoning,
Tracts B & C Bedkerts Addition,, from "B" Residence. District to f°C* Residence District,
and from 2nd Area District to 4th Area,Dis.trict,, and that Lots.13 -, 14, & 15 Congdons
Replat be changed to the'same Residence and Area District ast he property above named:
carried.., Burns,; Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call.
Moved. by Huey, seconded by Burns, that this being the time for receiving bids for the
construction of curbs, gutters and surfacing in L.I.D.. No. 738, the following were
received:

The bid of . Joe Brandt was accepted and the . Mayor and City Clerk are hereby instructed , to
execute a.contract on behalf of the City of Yakima for doing said work : - carried, Burns,
Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that this being the time for receiving bids for, the
construction of curbs, gutters and surfacing in L.I.D.. No. 739, the following were
received
J. M. DeBlasio $70, 452.61
Columbia Asphalt Paving Co. 63;,840.98
Joe Brandt 62$840.98.
The bid of Joe Brandt was accepted and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to execute a;.
contract on behalf of the City of Yakima for doing said -work: carried, Burns, Huey and
Carpenter voting aye on roll call.
RESOLUTION NO. C- 102 :2, WHEREAS,, Yakima- Tieton Irrigation District desires to construct.,
operate and maintain. an irrigation system to be known as "Uplands Irrigation System.,"'
part of the area to be served by said system being situate in the City of Yakima, and
WHEREAS, there is no other water available for.the irrigation of
said area. to be served by the Yakima - Tieton Irrigation District, and it is� for the best
interests. of the City of Yakima that said area be served with irrigation waiter through
adequate pipe lines,, End
WHEREAS, the Ya kima- Tieton Irrigation Dustrict de- sires a permit
for the construction.,. operation and maintenance of said irrigation system in the City of
Yakima and to install, operate and maintain its pipe lines on, along and a- .cross certain
city streets---.in the City of Yakima.. Now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
That a permit issue to the Yakima - Tieton Irrigation District
granting permission to install said irrigation system in accordance with the ordinances,
rules and regulations of the City of Yakima,, and under the supervision of the City of
Yakima, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk of the City
of Yakima be, and they are hereby authorized to issue such permit to Yakima - Tieton
Irrigation District in the form and words of the instrument hereto attached and by this
reference made a part hereof.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed and approved this 16th day
of June, 1952.
