The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday,.June 2nd 1952, and adjourned meeting there- of, were approved as read. Moved by Huey, seconded by Carpenter,: that this being the time for receiving bids: for the house at 606 Broadway, the bid.of Cecil.Emhoff in the sum of $537.50 was the only bid received and was accepted in that - amount: carried,: Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call„ Mayor Burns absent. Moved by Huey, seconded by Carpenter, that thisb eing the time for receiving bids:for the purchase of a Chip Spreader for the Street Department the bid of Howard Cooper Corporation in the sum of $1,464.66 was accepted as the lowest and best bid carried, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call,. Mayor Burns absent. Moved by tCarpenter, seconded by Huey, that the City Clerk give notice to bidders by publication for the paving of alleys in Block 130 Husonts Addition and Block 48, City L:.I.D,. No. 740, said bids to be received on Monday, June 23rd 1952: at 10 :00 of clock A,.M.: carried, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call, Mayor Burns absent. Moved by Huey, seconded by Carpenter, that the City Clerk is hereby instructed to call. for bids. by publication for the construction of Curbs and Gutters on Prasch Avenue, L.I.D. No. 741;. said. bids to be received on Monday, June 23rd 1952 at 10 :001: 0clock A.M.: carried,, Carpenter and Huey voting W e on roll call,. Mayor Burns absent. Moved by Huey, seconded by Carpenter, that the City Clerk is hereby instructed to give notice to bidders by..publication for the construction of a sewer in L.I.D. 'No. 737; said bids to be received on Monday, June 30, 1952 at 10 :00 otclock A -.M.•. carried, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call., Mayor Burns absent. RESOLUTION NO. C -1021, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON :. That it is its intention to improve Twenty -Fifth Avenue South from.Tieton Drive to a point 650 feet south of Tieton Drive; by grading, ballasting, surfacing and constructing concrete curbs and gutters; all of said improvements to be constructed.in full accordance with the plans and specifications. to be prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City C1~ rk. The district to be served by and assessed for the above-described improvement is situate in Yakima County, Washington, and described as follows, to -wit: Beginning at the intersection of the east line of Twenty -Fifth Avenue South, with the south line of Tieton Drive- thence easterly along the south line of Tieton Drive a distance of 135 feet ;. thence southerly parallel with Twenty -Fifth Avenue. South a distance of 650 feet; thence westerly to a point 142.feet west of the west line of Twenty -Fifth Avenue South; thence northerly parallel with Twenty -Fifth Avenue South to the south line of Tieton Drive; thence easterly along said south line to the point of beginning. All.persons who may desire to object to said proposed improvement are hereby notified to appear and present such objections, if any, at a meeting of the City Commission to be held at its office in the City Hall in the City of Yakima, Yakima. County, Washington, at the hour of 10 :00- of clock A.M.,. on Monday, the 30th day of June, 1952: ;; which time and place are hereby fixed for the hearing of all matters relating to said proposed improvement or objections thereto, and for determining the method of payment for said improvement; aid the City Clerk is hereby directed to give due notice: of said hearing and of the intention to make the aforesaid improvement. AN ORDINANCE changing the names of certain streets: in the City of Yakima as follows: The name 11Moxee Avenue" from East Yakima Avenue to the easterly city limits, to "T.'errace Heights Way ;" The name.
