The City Commission met in regular session,
Huey present on roll call.
Mayor Burns and Commissioners Carpenter and
The minutes of the regular meeting of Monday, April. 7, 1952: were approved as read.
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that a proposed ordinance repealing Article 1 of Sec.
31 of Ordinance No. B -99,, be repealed, was la. id on the table for further study, for a
period. of 30 days, or until May. .12th, 1952, at . 10:00 o;8 clock A..K.: carried, Burns,
Carpenter and Huey voting aye on roll call..
Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns,, that this being the time for receiving bids on the!
35th Avenue South Sewer District No. 736,, the following were received:

Moved by Huey, seconded by Burns, that this being time for receiving bids; for paint;
for the Street Department, and the bid of General Paint Company for Yellow Traffic.
Faint in the sum of $3:.09 per gallon in drums, and White Paint in the sum of $2.244 per
gallon in drums.;: waa awarded to them: carried, Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye
on roll call.
Moved by'Burns, seconded by Huey, that the City of Yakima is hereby authorized to enter
into a lease for the S2 of the South half of the NEg of the- NE: of Section 35 -lamR.

Moved by Carpenter, seconded by Burns., that this. being the time for receiving bids for
the light globes: for the ensuing year,, the bid of McLean Ele,etrie Company was awarded
the contract: carried, Burns, Carpenter and Huey voting aye on. roll call.
ORDINANCE NO. B- 1363,, AN ORDINANCE providing for the annexation by the City of Yakima,
Washington;, of- certain property contiguous.. to the present boundariet of said city.
Moved by Burns,, seconded by Carpenter., that this being the time for the hearing on tha
annexation of the so. of the NEB of the NWt. of Section 22 -13 -18 E.W.M. bounded on the
South by Sunset Avenue; on the West by 44th Avenue North; _ on" the North by Douglas.
Drive and Douglas Drive extended, and on the East by Crescent Hill- Drive., and there
being no objections:to said annexation, or any part thereof; It is ordered that,

entitled: "`AN ORDINANCE relating to and regulating traffic., travel and transportation
and their incidents upon the mtree:ts; and other ways open to the public; res..cribing
the powers: and duties of officers and others in reh tion thereto; defining offenses;
providing penalties and repealing certain ordinances concerned with or relating to the
subject matter of this ordinance, and declaring an emergency." And decla ring an
