COUNCIL NOMINATING COMMITTEE MINUTES
Meeting held virtually via Zoom
May 17, 2021
Meeting convened at 11:06 a.m.
Council present: Macias, Hill & Lund
Staff present: City Clerk Clear Tee
It was Committee consensus for Hill to chair today's meeting.
1. New business
• The Committee reviewed board and committee applications and made
the following recommendations by consensus:
• Henry Beauchamp Advisory Committee:
• Reappoint James Parks
• Appoint: Rev. Trimble, Sy Ruiz, Berenice Ponce and
Wilma Beauchamp
• Arts Commission:
• Reappoint James Ward Morris
• Confirm appointment of Capitol Theatre's representative
Valerie Woerner and Larson Gallery's representative David
Lynx
• Tree City USA:
• Reappoint Lance Forsee
• Appoint: John Tolonen
• Parks & Recreation Commission:
• Reappoint Brynn Johnson and Rod Bryant
• Appoint Norma Cody
• Public Facilities District:
• Reappoint David Hein! and Ryan Beckett
• Appoint: Maureen Adkison
Committee members asked staff to reach out to additional school district
members, YVCC and others for the youth position vacancies.
2. Macias moved to adjourn the meeting, carried by consensus. The meeting
adjourned at 11:32 a.m.
